Keiser Career College Southeastern Career College (as of May 1, 2012) False promises, unprofessional staff & students St. Petersburg, Florida

I am a student at Keiser Career College, what is known now as Southeaster Career College. I have been going here since April of this year and am frankly appalled at the behavior and lack of professionalism that this school condones. In the short time I have attended this school, I have had to deal with educators who bully the students, instructors who do not take control of their own class rooms by allowing so-called "adult students" curse out loud and disrupt the classrooms, administrators who find it necessary to continually disrupt the class and call people down to the office over petty items that can be dealt with after class time (like payments that are due, immunizations, etc.), and the overall feeling of lack of a professional education that I might add is costing everyone there well over $18,000 for a one-year diploma program. It is obvious that KCC/SCC is solely focused on getting everyone's money and once they do, they no longer care about you as a student nor a person. The lack of professionalism of most students there and how they can continually walk in the hall way yelling obscenities and foul language just amazes me coming from a private school of medical students. When you think that you can speak to your chain of command about these issues, you are labeled a trouble maker. As much money as they are making, they have a lack of up-to-date equipment and the classrooms are less than adequately comfortable. Not only that, but the instruction itself is less than sub-standard when you take into consideration that the instructor cannot speak proper English and contradicts himself many times on what he is lecturing as apposed to what the book is telling you. It is very confusing and lacks proper instruction according the standards of teaching. Bottom line, I would not recommend anyone attend any of the schools that are in this network of institutions. I am going to attend SPC where I can pay much less money, get a better education, and not have to deal with the extreme drama that continues to go on daily at this school. BUYER BEWARE!!!
