I spent 3.00 for a box of 'Famous Amos' Cookies, which ended up costing me over 1000.00 in dental repair.

I contacted the company and sent in, what I thought was the item that broke my tooth, which ended up being not what broke my tooth but part of my tooth that broke off.

At any rate, I followed their instructions, sent in my dental x-ray and examine. They ended up sending me a 'partial' payment of less than half of what my emergency bill was for a tooth repair, calling their response a measure of 'good faith' gesture.

Their reason for not covering the total of expense?

I had inadvertently swallowed the offending article that had busted my tooth, so they couldn't verify the truth of what actually happened.

I am now 600.00 poorer due to a factor of incompetence that I can only attribute to their lack of quality control over their own products.
