Me and my wife were so excited to find a quality day care near our new home! On her second day of school she received a cut on her finger. We both asked what happened, and the reply was that a door closed on her finger. The teacher said that she was sorry, but that she couldn't watch all the kids as once. Excuse us, but isnt that what she gets paid to do?? On the third day of class we demanded a total refund. The centers director Larry Wisowaty didn't talk with us but sent one of the employees to talk with us. None of them gave us any good eye contact. And further more a few of our childs clothes were missing!! And one more note. NO man should be working in any childcare facility. It just looks to suspicious.

The OP has the right to ask for a refund. The teacher was probably an okay person but Kindercare is all about the money so they of course will put too many children for one teacher in the class to conserve.

Suggestions as to your response to the incident

FIrst of all. I have worked for many different child care centers and in many different roles. (from Assistant Teacher when I first started out all the way to Center Director) I also have worked for Kindercare.
I can sympathize with the fact that most Kindercares dont provide quality child care due to the buget restraints the Center Director has however what you seem to be talking about could happen in ANY center.
Accidents do happen. The same incident could happen in your own home under your own care. The Classroom teacher though not very diplomatic in her approach of telling you she can't possibily watch everyone at once, though true, should've just told you she comforted your daughter as best possible and put ice on the finger.
Asking for your money back for this situation is over the top. I wouldn't give it to you either in the same situation unless you had concrete proof that your child was neglected and you feared for her safety if you kept her in the center. One smashed finger does not qualify.
In regards to the male Center Director, although I admit I am a bit sexist and feel the same way (at least I can admit to it even though I know it's wrong)....was he not there when you enrolled your child?
