Michel Berda is extremely  unprofessional!!  My husband and I went with Michel b/c his name was on a list given to us from the hotel we were married.  We both thought he was a bit strange, but decided to go with him anyways.  Some of his pictures are good, however there are some where you are left wondering what he was thinking?? And why would he post them online?? 

After the wedding it took 1 MONTH before our photos were online.  He mispelled my last name, so guests were having a hard time logging into his site.  Michel couldn't seem to get our album style right, and when I called to discuss how we wanted the pics arranged he acted as if I was bothering him.  I have countless emails from him where clearly spellcheck is not something he believes in...or a calander!

My husband and I made a trip to his "studio" to pick out our album color since Michel didn't have any color swatches available online for us to look at . However, he did try and get me to chose between 4 colors over the phone.  This man is rediculious!!!

8MONTHS before we got our album!! I was so fed up with this man,..so, I asked him to bring it to me.  He has his daughter call me b/c he needs directions! After I had already emailed him these the day before.  He then gets on the phone and starts in on how busy he is, and how HE IS DOING ME A FAVOR!!  So I hang up on him, and wait for him outside.  Michel makes sure to give me a staredown when getting out of the car.

 He then hands me the album box, and tells me how "I should learn to be alot nicer to people"  Before he drives off he scarstically tells me, "good luck"!  Michel being the professional businessman that he is, got the color of our album wrong! We had selected ORANGE, only to find a BLACK album in the box!! I emailed him about this, but he has yet to respond...and i'm sure he never will.  Michel has no concept of customer service, and makes you feel as he could care less about you after you have paid in full!

Please do not waste your time with this man...he is not worth it!!!

I splurged on this wedding photographer, and it was a serious mistake. His services are very expensive, as are many wedding photographers, and his pictures are very good, but his business skills are terrible. I heard before hiring him that he was a jerk, but I thought - how bad could it be, I just like his photos? He showed up at the wedding with his daughter in tow in blue jeans, running around the whole time. After the wedding, it took 1 MONTH to get our photos even online, and even then the website was so poor to navigate that many of our friends and family were unable to access it. It took him 4 MONTHS to send us instuctions on how to order our album and then we had the responsiblity of designing it ourselves. This took many hours as there was little instruction provided. It was 6 months before our order was process, with a grand total of 10 MONTHS before our album arrived. When we hired Michel, we also met his assistant, who seemed very talented at putting the albums together and managing the paperwork. After we put down our deposit, his business went under and it became a one-man show...though we only heard about this through word of mouth. I guess this accounts for the pitifully slow turnaround time, but we should have been given the option to cancel our contract. His emails throughout this process were poorly written and unprofessional, often quite rude. Please, there are many fine wedding photographers in Charleston - do not hire this one.
