Kingsdown Kingsdown is low down Internet

Last night was the best sleep we had on the Kingsdown mattress since we bought it 3 years ago.  Reason being is because we did not sleep on it we gave away the $1200.00 plus mattress set.  I wanted to put it out with the trash but my wife said no. 

We bought it at Mattress Giant.   One week after we bought it we noticed it began to sag or otherwise known as hammock in the world of genius mattress salesmen.  I contacted the Mattress Giant store and the salesmen said sometimes the temperature in the house will cause the mattress to sag.  REALLY? Let me get back on the turnip truck now.  I went to the store and they said there was nothing they could do since we bought the floor model.  Which I don't believe the mattress they delivered was the floor model.  They just say this so they wont have to honor any warranty.  So anyways they said the best they could do is notify Kingsdown and they would send a high tech mattress inspection kit.  So the kit came in the mail. It consisted of a string a metal washer and a disposable camera. One is supposed to pull the string across the mattress with the washer in the middle and then measure the distance between the bottom of the washer and the mattress.  Then take a picture.  This is to be done with no one or thing on the mattress.    The mattress only sags when someone is on it.  Anyways I did not even waste my time.  I kept the washer and the camera they sent.  I could use those for something at a later date.

So we have suffered through the last three years sleeping on this thing. (Although I got a reprieve when I was sent to the middle east and slept fine on an old single mattress for 7 moths) My wife who weighs 115 sleeps in the middle.  I call it the valley and I sleep on the hillside of the mattress.  I try not to roll on her at night but gravity usually takes hold. 

Anyways....I am sure at one time Kingsdown put out a quality mattress but from our experience they don't now.  Just like everything else these days companies have taken the cheap way around and in doing so create an inferior product.  Thanks Kingsdown I am out over $1200 and we just purchased a mattress set from a local company for $700.00.   We slept on our futon last night and that was fine.

So all and all I was taken for my hard earned money.  Someone should put all these complaints I have been reading about this company and demand better quality or run them out of business.
