Kiwi Services (Carpet Cleaning) ripoff - promised many things - delivered on none Carrollton Texas

I had the same experience as others that posted on this site. Kiwi promised many things - delivered on none.

Tech was nice enough, but the technic is a scam. FIrst, they promise to move all furniture - he got there, this is not the case. I had to help him move the couch, I moved the tables, and he made me move the big screen tv (they can't touch electronics, I then found out). He used the "Kiwi Way" to rub the dirt in the carpet. BEFORE he left, I called Customer Service and said I was NOT satisfied (he told me that I would have to vacuum when he left - WHAT???) - and the "dry" formula they used left my carpet SOAKED! (I was expecting new leather furniture that afternoon and did not want to put it on wet carpet - it was wet for three days!)

They did nothing for me on the phone - played phone tag for the next four hours. I emailed pictures and video THAT day to their offices. On video, I took a white cloth where they had cleaned, placed it on the floor, pressed down, lifted and showed the camera the DIRT on the cloth! I also took picture of all of the remnants that I was told I would have to vacuum when the carpet 'dried'.

The reason I am writing today is to tell people - Don't give up! This happened to me in April 2004...I emailed them twice a week......then, finally, filed with the BBB. In July - I got my full refund (which was still not enough since I had to pay someone else to come CLEAN my carpet), but at least I got back the $135 that I spent on ONE ROOM (yes, when they got there, they said that I needed the 'extra' cleaning and that the adcertised $49 price would not clean my carpet). Once the BBB was involved, Jennifer Robertson was responsive to my emails and was polite - but until then, it was impossible to get in touch with her.

So - to sum it up, YES - they are a Rip-Off. But don't give up! Keep on them and let's see if we can stop them. I filed with both the Dallas and Ft Worth offices of the BBB since they have locations in both.
