Our family just went to KNott's Berry Farm today 07-25-08 and was harrassed by a staff member in Log Ride line. It was totally uncalled for and we were treated horribly. My 8 year old daughter kept crying and was scared of the large man that harrassed us and we had to leave. We were in line for Log Ride, 3 adults, 2 8year olds. The girls had to use bathroom so bad. Being that the line was moving slow enough for me to escort them across the way (about 20 feet) to use bathroom, we did and 2 adults stayed in line. We returned in under 2 minutes to where the line maybe moved 10 feet (if that) and we were approached by a staff member that could have given us a warning, but instead tried to be on a power trip and said the girls could go in line, but not me. Why not me? I escorted my daughter and her friend to do a natural bodily function that could not wait. It did not seem appropriate to let 2 8year olds go to bathroom alone. Anyway, he then engaged my husband in a mannner that was horrible and then called security to get them out of line. This is supposed to be a family environment. We were treated like we were thugs. I will never go there again and give them my hard earned money. To top it all off, at beginning of trip, we went to guest relations to get disabled cards for myself and son (two differnet reasons) and they would not accomidate us. They said it had to be a mobility reason. they refused to see my medical records for proof. Someone needs to tell Knotts that there are other diabilities beside mobility issues that warrant disabled cards.

I would have to agree with the park

I have a good friend who works for Busch Gardens and asked her about this. While you might have had a child that had to go and use the restroom, DECENCY says you take the child to the restroom and que at the end of the line. It was something we were taught as children. Just because your spouse or friend or whoever was there in line, in a public place, common courtesy states when you leave a que line you return to the end, and not cut the line back where you were, it does a little thing called it pisses people off. They don't care if it is your spouse is in line in front of them or if it is the Virgin Mary.
Amusement parks usually consider disability to be mobility problems, and most have the same thing going that would issue you disabled parking privileges. Meaning you are limited to the distance you can walk or because you are considered legally blind. If you have heart conditions, you shouldn't be in an amusement park in the first place...the rides are marked telling people with certain types of conditions NOT to get on the rides, and I have yet to see anyone bring their medical records to an amusement park.
