KOOL TELECOM, LTD-KOOLTEL AMERICA MTH, OAN, AT&T Fraudulent charges to FAX number. States (bogus name) of person who "went online" to add this "online touchtone services" to our company fax number. California

I am the only person at our company who is authorized to make changes to our company's phone billing account and this month I immediately noticed an unauthorized service that was added to our account. The service was added to our FAX number and was being provided by OAN Services, Inc. / Kool Telecom, LTD- Kooltel America MTH, and their number was listed: 1-888-898-0850. I called the number to ask for information about the mysterious service that they were supposedly providing, but the number isn't a valid number - instead, I only get a recorded statement that the number was reached in error and must be dialed again.

Therefore, I called AT&T to question the "new service" that was added to our phone bill. AT&T customer service could not answer any questions regarding this service, instead they offered to transfer me to their number and offered me the same phone number to call in case I got disconnected. Fortunately, I didn't get disconnected and was able to speak with someone from Kool Telecom, LTD., who claimed that the service "must have been billed in error" and said that "Louann Harrison" went online and authorized the additional service to our account. There is no one by that name working at our company. I don't it's very unprofessional and inappropriate for AT&T to allow bogus/fraudulent charges to anyone's phone bill - that is theft!
