Kwik Kar Auto Service ripoff of senior lady Allen Texas

In February 2006 my wife went to Kwik Kar in Allen to get the oil changed in her 2003 Toyota 4-Runner. She normally has that done in East Texas, where we live, but was in the Allen area due to our granddaughter being in the hospital.

I did not realize until she returned home much later that she had been charged $241.67 for the service to her car. The manager I spoke to at Kwik Kar claims it was all justifiedaccording to the Toyota manual but the manual does not prescribe the things they claim they did and charged her for.

In addition to changing the oil, they charged her $89.95 for "Power steering flush", $39.99 for "Rear differential service", and $59.99 for "Fuel system cleaning service". To claim that a well maintained car 2 1/2 years old with 29080 miles needed these things is absolutely absurd.

She has her car serviced regularly by the book and never before has anyone suggested that there were problems of the sort claimed by Kwik Kar. I think it is obvious that they thought they could take advantage of a 64 year old woman that knows little about cars.
