LA Fitness Pro Results I was told the PT contract cannot be cancelled because of lost of employment but can be cancelled if I can show proof of change of address and pay $100. I told them due to unexpected circumstances my job ended on 1/13/17 and I will relocate to NC to stay with daughter and family. Irvine, CA Nationwide

 I would like to report LA Fitness for refusing to honor lost of employment as a reason to cancel the PT contract. I was told I am still expected to pay the monthly fees even if I don't have a job. I also told them I have to move to NC to live with daughter due to circumstances. I was told to show official proof of address change ( I have the documentation) and have to pay $ 100 cancellation or pay 50% of the remainder of the contract. I reminded them that my employment ended. I was told that is not a reason to cancel the contract. Also from the very beginning when I joined the club in September 2016, I was told I can cancel the contract anytime. I was told I can pay in the club but then later was told the payment has to be automatically deducted from my account every month and that's the only way I can keep my membership. It was during the third week of membership before a PT worked with me. I paid for an hour a week training broken into 2 sessions a week. After only having 3-4 sessions for the first &second month, I was told I don't have anymore sessions left. If I allowed them, they could have gotten away with it but I stood my grounds.
