I own a 73" Mitsubishi DLP TV. TV was covered with white dots all over the screen. you couldnt make out an image on the screen.Only sound was clear 95% of the screen was covered in snow. After identifying the problem with my tv with several TV technicians and specialist i was told i needed to replace my processing chip at an average value of 150 to 200 dollars. I called around getting quotes, and stumbled upon LA TV REPAIR. Edwin quickly told me that it could be something very minor and that it could be less than what i was quoted which was $280 to $300, and that he could check for a fee of $60 that would count towards the total bill.

When he came he told me it was worse and i needed to replace the computer unit and he would need 3 days to order the part but once fixed it would be like having that model brand new again and that the image would be crystal clear. He quoted $500 for the job. 3 days came and went and no response until a week later when Edwin called me to say he could come in and install the new part. Upon install, the Image looked darker than it used to be but the white dots were gone. I told Edwin that it looked very dark he said it just needed to warm up. We agreed on a final price of $460 because of the tardiness on the delivery of services.

I was also told that i shouldnt have anymore problems with the TV for at least 3 years and mentioned his 1year warranty. Everything was fine for exactly 48 days. after a few days and after finding my warranty papers i immediately called Edwin and informed him of the problem he said he was backed up for 2 weeks and he would change the part in about 3 weeks. I told i was moving on May 1st and didn't want the move to be blamed on the the problem. He said he understood and to call him in two weeks. He has been avoiding since!!!! around the third week of May he told me that the part was back ordered, then back ordered...i haven't heard from him since. I left several messages threatening to sue him.

He has made no attempts to come up with a resolution. Meanwhile i havent had a working TV since April, Im out of close to $500 and a lot more in stress and aggravation. i have checked with several other tv repair companies that acknowledged and identified my problem and are abwle to repair it for half the cost i paid Edwin initially. also affirmed that the part needed was not back ordered. It is also in stock on Ebay and amazon ready to ship. This only emphasizes the fact that i was being a victim of fraud. Subsequently, proceeded to research the company and found numerous complaints and spoke personally to few other victims of LA TV REPAIR services! As a resiult of this, I am formally putting in my complaint !
