LABOR READY'S TEST FOR EMPLOYMENT IS BOGUS
A search for part time income on the weekends brought me to labor ready. Afetr contacting the office via phone in January of 2005, I was told that yes they do have some environmental work on weekends.
I did not inquire to what environmental work is at labor ready as I was glad there was opportunity for some added income.
The next week I went by the office to sign up, with copies of my drivers license and social security card. The lady at the desk took all my information, but when I asked her about weekend work, she stated that there is very little if any work on the weekends, which immediately made me uneasy as I have worked for flakey, irresponsible companies before and this was not a good sign of a reputable Co.
I was then given the employee test which redundantly asked about drugs, fighting and anger in one form or another throughout this so called test. About this time I am thinking twice about labor ready, as I am feeling a lot of negativity, (what am I getting into). I am not a felon, drug user or alcoholic, just an upright working man looking for a little part time work.
Alas! when the results came through , which was about twenty minutes from their home office, I did not pass the test.
I thought about this for a few days and concluded after reading some other reports about labor ready in Rip Off Reports and what I had heard from some employers was that labor ready only wants to hire the type of people with the lifestyles that they repeatedly ask about in there little test.
Labor Ready is not for an upright, seeking some temporary full or part time work, deadbeat work for deadbeat people.

#1 UPDATE Employee
The behavioal test at Labor Ready

The test you took was administered by American Tescor. It is the same company that does the pre employment testing for Walmart and other large corps. The reason it asks the same questions over and over again is to catch an inconsistant answer. 30% of people applying do not pass the test. One of the main reasons is they somehow get off on the number count (thinking they are on questoin 15 when they are really on 140. Another reason is they dont answer the questions the same way each time they are asked.
As to why it took 20 minutes I have no clue, it is transmitted over a secure line and results are back in less than a minute. You may re take the test in 12 months.
Labor Ready does not want the dead beat employees, thats the whole reason behind the test.
