Lana Marks Biggest joke of an interview in my 15 years as a professional West Palm Beach Florida

I responded to a blind ad that was posted on Craigslist for an accounts payable position. I received an email asking me to call for an interview.
I did the phone number look up via the web to find out that this was an interview with Lana Marks.

I was excited to think of an opportunity to be working on Worth Avenue in West Palm Beach. I arrived on time and discovered that Lana Marks was not in the office yet. I heard one of the staff members call to let Lana know that she had someone in for an interview. I was told that Lana was on her way and it wouldn't be too long.

I waited a total of one hour and twenty minutes for Lana to show up. I did not get any type of apology for her tardiness. I can also verify that a phone call was received at the office inquiring about Lana - and the staff person claimed that she was not sure where Lana was at (after she had spoken to Lana about coming in for the interview).

I am glad that I came to Ripoff Report and did a search on Lana Marks - it verified what I already believed from my short experience with the firm. I was very disappointed that Lana explained that they really did not have any need for help at that particular point in time (if so - why run an ad?).

I am sure that my services will be much better utilized with a well run firm. I am sure that they reviewed my resume and noticed that I had held several positions with a high level of responsibility and worried that I may not play along with they type of environment that they operate in.

The great thing is - I actually took the time to stay positive and think constructively while waiting for Lana to show up for the interview. I thought if the interview went well, that I may give her an idea on a possibility of expanding her product line (it would use the same types of materials as she uses on her bags). I am glad I did not mention it. I may have to start something up on my own.

The experience that I had with Lana taught me one thing for sure - what I should NOT do - when I own my own business.
