 The Facts: The Law Society of Upper Canada receives over $5 million a year in "membership fees" from lawyers and even helps them obtain malpractice insurance. They even train lawyers how to account for fake billings at seminars if they get caught by clients who question their padded legal bills. At the same seminar/workshop they also teach lawyers how to "run the clock" so they can make more money by requiring 5 court hearings instead of two by requesting "continuances" or "judicial reviews" or "evidentiary" hearings instead of asking for a dismissal. But their biggest scam is hiding the complaints of real crimes committed by lawyers and persuading the victims not to notify the police. For example, when I advised them

that my lawyer was extorting me for over $200,000, they said they would only investigate the matter if I "do not contact any third parties including the media or the police." Then once I agreed they allegedly appointed an investigator whose name I could never obtain. That mystery investigator did not contact any of the eye-witnesses I found, including a lawyer colleague who worked inside the same office as my attorney.
