Lawyer ASAP AKA. KEL Refusing to refund moneys paid despite not doing any work. Orlando Florida

I retained the services of Lawyer ASAP, also known as KEL, to perform a simple name change service. They quoted my $950 dollars, as well as a $420 dollar money order for filing fee's. 

Almost a month later, I had not heard from them, despite repeated emails from me to individuals in their office. On more than one occasion, I spoke with the girls at the front desk, one of which actually was able to give me the status of my account there. She confirmed for me, that after a month, nothing had been done. 

At that point, I went into the office and requested a refund on the monies I had paid to date. That was half of the retainer, along with the $420 dollar MO for the filing fee's. I was told to email a request to their account closing email address, which I did. 2 days later I received a call from one of their people, who told me that we could start immediately, and everything would be wrapped up within a couple of days. I am not sure how they could have done that so quickly, considering my account had not been touched in over a month. Not to mention, I still needed to do a background check, and have finger prints taken, before any filing with the clerk could have been done. I reaffirmed I just wished to get my money back, since they had performed ZERO work on my account to date. 

Several weeks later, after hearing nothing from them, I again asked the lady at the front desk about my account. She informed me there was a review scheduled, and that it would take 8-12 weeks after the review to receive any refunds. She mentioned that when the review was completed I would get a letter with the results.

I received the letter today, and was informed they would be keeping the $500 that had been paid to the retainer, and did not even mention the $420 money order. They treated it like it did not even exist. So, to date, I am out $920, for a $420 name change, which they have done ZERO(0) work on after months. At this point I cannot even do the name change on my own, because of all the money I have tied up with this unscrupulous legal firm.
