Somebody mentioned acai berries as a beneficial health food so I looked it up in Google. Took me to LeanSpa.com. Opening page looks fine. Offered free 14-day trial. They ship a 30-day supply and you must cancel the order within 14 days and there will be no charge, no further orders.

I did that cancellation in plenty of time and have documentary proof of it because I smelled a rat right away. Then I get a "thank you" for my order and they send another bottle and charge me $79.99.

Filed report online with Internat Crime Complaint Center <http://complaint.ic3.gov> which says they are "a partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Filed a follow-up report with them after a few more shenanigans.

Most important, I went to my bank and they took a report and turned it and all my files over to their fraud investigation unit in Honolulu. They get serious quick and said they will get me a refund on the money already taken. I gave them a large stack of printouts which include the company's own list of
tickets showing that I had 'cancelled' within eight or nine days -- not 14. Yet the fraud was started after that.

So, keep records for this scam and any that you find yourself in. Talk to your bank immediately because it is more difficult for a refund if you wait more than 10 days after money is taken from your account AND because all large banks have their own  investigatory unit.
