Reading through the rip-off reports I have noticed numerous situations similar to ours. A representative came tour Business attemting to sell a Credit Card machine and Services.I nformed him that our Rep's are field reps so that the machine would not work for us. He also spoke of Check verifications, so I told him it was a costly investment and that I did not have time to "call" when I returned from a business trip.
He came in the next day and told my husband that I requested the Machine and Services. He also told my husband that we could try the machine for a month and if it did not work for us we could return it. He filled out a lease approval form with false information and no review or signature from my husband.
They also lied about services such as being able to punch in the card #'s(all card are to be swiped) I called Lease Financial Group and Cit to return the machine and cancel service....they have never done anythingbut bounce us back and forth never taking any responsibility and offering no assistance. I tried for 4 months to come to some sort of agreement, now when we changed bank accounts and they aren't getting their money they have a collection agency threatening to sue us!
Get this they want $3000.00 for the lease and if we send the machine back they will give us a $50.00 credit. If any one has any pointers please let us know...DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY...They are a sickening pack of unethical and fraudulent vultures waiting for the next unsuspecting victim to stroll by so that they can pick them clean of there hard earned money!!!!!!!!!

File your Report with FTC

Hi Anissa,
Before I add information I have given to everyone who filed a Rip-Off Report. Let me say a word about the previous comment. Yes CIT will say they have nothing to do with the Independant Rep. However, on our Forged CIT Lease, we received after the fact. The Reps name and Reps Code was on the lease. So believe it or not, in California, anyone's name that appears on a contract is part of the contract.
However, CIT is trying to get out of this saying he was independent.
Now here is what I attached to all the other CIT Rip-Off reports:
Hi,
You may want to send a complaint to FTC (Federal Trade Commission) . I did and received a response saying they don't do individual cases. However, if they log enough complaints, they will start an investigation and possibly legal action. So here is the link: https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01 to the FTC complaint form. I've told many people about it, so you may want to do the same. Make sure you give specific examples or even let them know you have documentation of deceptive or misleading information. Also, if possible, please scan & send copies of these documents to me at [DELETED]. I haven't given up, but it does take a while for the squeaky wheel to be heard.
As far as CIT, here is their main site: http://www.cit.com/main/default.htm . Also, within this site, I found e-mails and have sent copies of my rip-off report, including a copy of all the complaints listed under Lease Finance Group in the Rip-Off site. Here are some e-mail addresses, you may want to send your concerns to: investor.relations@cit.com, corpcomm@cit.com, directors@cit.com,
I did get the Rip-Off Report Do-It-Yourself Guide and it did have some good steps to follow. However, it was a little lacking in the cyberspace rip-offs. I've been paralleling the thoughts or ideas in this Guide to try to apply them to the internet. For example, instead of sending faxes, send e-mails. So every web site I am interested in, I look for e-mails and make up a group listing & start bombarding them with e-mails and include my rip-off report, plus any other rip-off concerns.
I hope this helps. Thanks, G for California

Maybe I can Help you find a remedy to your situation

Anissa,
I am so sorry to hear this happened to you.
There are some things first that need to be established to help you understand how to go about obtaining relief.
1st-lease finance group has nothing to do with the representations made by the salesman who called on you, they have nothing to do with the bankcard industry except that they finance the leases bankcard reps solicit merchants to enter into(as an alternative to buying)
2nd-your issue is not with Lease finance group but with the rep who lied to you and encouraged you to enter into the lease based on his oral implications/promises.
3rd-You should read everything before you sign it,the first clue should have been the words:non-cancellable lease at the top of the agreement.
4th-Lease finance group will tell you who the lease originator was.
Start with lease finance group-call them and ask who the lease originator was, including name address and telephone number-the rep has his name on the agreement somewhere-either the lease or the processing agreement. He is most likely an employee of the processor or an agent thereof in some capacity.
From this agent is where relief is to be sought. The federal trade commision may be able to help you in this matter but I am not sure. If you can afford to pay off the lease-after contacting lease finance group in regard to the originator i would advise you to do so because failure to pay is ruining your credit. Paying makes your case stronger against the rep in court. Good Luck. David
