Leasecomm Corporation Swipped Me!!!! Woburn Maine

In 1998, I signed a contract with Leasecomm for a credit card machine. Huge mistake. My business failed. I relocated to another State. They sued me on or about 2006 in a Court out of my State. I did not know I had been sued. I received a letter on June 24 2007, letting me know they had won a judgment, in Dedham District Court.

I had no change to even contest this. This was a clear violation of the UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT DISTRICT OF MASSACHUSETTES ruling in the case; Federal Trade Commission (Plaintiff) v. Leasecomm Corporation and Microfinancial Incorporated, (Defendants). Civil Action No. COMPLAINT FOR INJUCTIVE AND OTHER EQUITABLE RELEIF.

Quote in letter:
" As you are also aware, Leasecomm has received notice from Dedham District Court that a judgment has been issued in our favor. This judgment will allow us to proceed with your case by forwarding it to an attorney in your area for immediate enforcement. It has never been Leasecomm's philosophy to simply give up on collections of any account. We will authorize our attorney to do whatever is necessary to see that our judgment is satisfied. post-Judgment proceedings will include wage, bank and property attachments not to mention the negative credit ratings that are reflected on your credit report."

They did just that. Their attorey, STENGER & STENGER, P.C., 4095 Embassy Drive, SE Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Phone # 616-954-2300, did not care to hear that they had violated a Court Order from the United States Distrist Court.

My wages have been garnished since Jan 2008. They total to this date, ( it keeps rising) is 6,064.83. In the letter they were awarded 3,740.89. The original amount of the lease was around 2000.00.

I have gone thru the process of complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. If anyone hase not. Please call them. It is very simple to filed your complaint over the Phone. It is recored and logged. All complaint receive a case number and are followed up.
