Yes,
My insurance company recommended that I go through them to get a home security system upon purchasing my home in 1999, I went with the a security company that they highly recommended.

I was billed monthly from LeaseComm Corporation for the amount of $32.95 and payed them up until June 2004 when I had technical problems with the system. It is clearly indicated on the monthly billing statement that if you are having equipment problems call Security Services Inc @ a local number which has not been in service since the system was installed in my home. I have encountered equipment problems three times since 1999 and on all three occassions I had to call LeaseComm for repairs.
The first two times they sent someone out to repair the system, when I contacted them in June 2004 I was told that it was not their responsibility to repair the system and that I would have to find a company on my own for equipment problems.

I told the customer service representative that I wanted to cancel the service because because it made absolutely no sense to pay for something that was of no use to me. He told me that he had made a note of it and that I should send a letter to support the annotation reference cancellation of the service.

I mailed LeaseComm in writing and have been contacted by them several times concerning payments and if I did not give my checking account or credit card information over the telephone that my credit would be ruined if they did not receive the past three months that was due to them.

Chet in Boston clearly does business or works for Leasecomm

AUTHOR: Amy - (U.S.A.)

Chet in Boston, we all know that all of you scam artists will one day end up in jail for your actions, and i for one hope that I am a big reason for it. Your company, Leasecomm, was forbidden from writing certain types leases with certain language in them, by a federal court, so it had to run out and find a new scam. Seems to me that they did just that, with the home security systems, and other things(computer financing). Remember Enron, that's where all of your execs are going to end up, cell buddies with the Enron people, and Martha. Hope you all like prision, because eventually you will all be there together. (or the unemployment line). Either way I and all of the other thousands of Leasecomm victoms can't wait.

Bonita, If you want to get Leasecomm you need to make a complaint to the FTC, the BBB, and if needed sue them. Most states have something called a Long Arm Statute which will permit you to sue them in your state, which is something Leasecomm did to all of us for years until the FTC put a stop to it. Use it against them, because according to the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act they cannot threaten you like that. Sue them for 100 times what they say they owe you. Never throw away any correspondance with them, write down or record any coversations by phone with a detailed listing of what time they called, who called, and what was said. That will help you in court. Never throw anything away if it has to do with Leasecomm, and finally, get a lawyer. It will be the best money you will ever spend in your life.

Chasing wrong person

AUTHOR: Chet - (U.S.A.)

LeaseComm is only the financing company. They are not responsible for the equipment. If you read your contract with LeaseComm, you will see that you need to pay them whether or not the equipment works.

Since the system is five years old, I doubt Security Services would have repaired it under warranty anyway, so you need to find another security company to fix the equipment problem.

LeaseComm does not have the right to threaten or harass you, but they have every right to pursue leagal action to recover their payments from you.
