I received a bill from this company stating that I had an outstanding balance. I'd never heard of the company so I called the number on the invoice. I was told that the bill was for the acceptance of a collect call from either a correctional facility or a hotel - they couldn't tell which.
There is nobody at my house who accepted such a call during this referenced time period. Legacy was unable to provide anything to substantiate that the call existed, let alone was accepted. I found the invoice particularly spurious as they had addressed it to my fiance, whose name is not on the home phone account but does receive mail at the house. They instructed me to issue a written challenge to the bill, which I did, and the response to which was a second bill including a threat of being sent to a collection agency.
