Legal Authority Harrison Barnes Purported job contacts are outdated and incorrect Pasadena California

 I signed up for a service with Legal Authority to have a targeted contact list developed for my job search.  I was told that there were over 100 contacts that met my search parameters.  It took over a month for them to send me the list and when I started spot checking it, I immediately realized that the information was not checked for accuracy.  There were numerous law firms listed that had not been in existence for several years. 

Many of the contact persons listed for various law firms were young associates who would not have anything to do with recruitment or hiring.  Many contacts were merely the managing partner of a national law firm but the address provided was for the local branch so instead of sending the resume and cover letter to the managing partner at his/her correct address, Legal Authority used the local address. 

Many other contacts were either no longer at the firm listed or were not invovled in recruitment.  I spent over 10 hours going through and correcting mistakes merely by looking at the firms' websites.  Of the 111 contacts provided, I could only potentially use 6 of them.  After complaining to my assigned employment advocate, he took several weeks to generate a new list for me.  It was equally flawed and did not meet most of my search parameters. 

I have asked for my money back ($500) but so far I am being ignored.  This was such a disappointing experience and I wished I had known of these complaints before I spent money I really don't have since I am unemployed.  This company took advantage of the fact that I was unemployed and willing to try whatever I needed to do to find a new job.  I plan to file a fraud lawsuit against them.
