I purchased a pre-purchase inspection for a 2014 R8 V10 plus manual with an original MSRP of $182k.  Lemon squad missed many large imperfections that were not included in the PPI report including:

- missing floor jack and air compressor
- large holes in the carpet floor mats
- significant wear on the hand brake lever
- significant number of dimples to the metal shift knob most likely from someone wearing a wedding ring while shifting
- many small cuts in the leather trims down to the base material
- chip in the carbon fiber center console
- curb rash on rear passenger side wheel
- slight belt squeal coming from engine compartment

After informing Lemon Squad of the issues and offering them an opportunity to fix the situation, they stated these are not important in a PPI report, yet their service advertises providing a proper PPI including "condition of tires and wheels", "Thorough check of interior--including upholstery, mats, headliner, and seat belts", and "We'll address any additional areas of concern that you identify".

They also stated this is normal wear and tear for a 3 year old vehicle.  The issue isn't the fact that a 3 year old car had imperfections, as even a brand new car can sustain damage from delivery from the manufacturer.  The issue is these imperfections were not noted in the PPI, and this is the exact purpose of ordering a PPI.

A 10k mile vehicle can be in significantly worse condition than a 35k mile vehicle, and a 50k mile vehicle can be in better condition than both vehicles.  It depends on how the vehicle was used and cared for.  If all vehicles were in the same condition at the same ages and mileages, there would be no need for 3rd party inspections.  Too many variables in vehicle ownership exist.

If the issues were properly reported, then the customer is able make an informed decision to negotiate further or pass on the vehicle.  I would stay far far away from using Lemon Squad, as now I may be left with a large bill to fix issues related to their negligence.

Who is their checklist for RVs nowhere does it mention anything about the safety of the LP gas system

AUTHOR: RV expert witness - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, October 21, 2017

The most important functions of an RV are not listed on their list.  Items like the

1. LP gas furnace does it leak LP GAS ?

2.  The LP gas hot water heater.

3.  The LP gas stove.

4.  The LP gas refrigerator.

5.  The ammonia gas system in the refrigerator  does it leak ?

6.  The power supply converting 110 V AC over to 12 V DC.

7.  The complete plumbing system does it leak ?

8.  Does the plumbing system have a water pressure regulator

9.  The sewage system the black water and the graywater tanks do they leak ?

10.  All of the 12 V system batteries ?  Are they holding a charge

11.  Does the complete electrical system on the 12 V DC side have any battery drains ?

12.  The air conditioning systems the dash AC and the roof AC do they work properly.

13.  Does the roof AC unit look like it's properly secured to the roof where it will not leak water when it rains ?

14.  Does the shower or the toilet leak water underneath that wood rot the wood out under Neath the shower or the toilet ?

15.   The water pump for the RV aspect of the motorhome does it leak it does it  maintain normal operating pressure ?

16.  Does any aspect of the RV have rotten wood ?

17.  Does the LP gas system have leaks anywhere throughout the system ?

18  does the LP gas regulator maintain a normal operating pressure without league downs ?

19  does the RV come with all of the owners manuals  for safe and normal operation knowledge ?

20  does the RV have leveling jacks to do the work without hydraulic leaks?

21  has the LP gas furnace been checked for any carbon oxide leaks ?  Which can be deadly if not check properly ....

22.  When driving the motorhome does the  motorhome engine charge the RV batteries properly ?

23.  Does the motorhome have slide outs and are they properly aligned so they do not create drag to wear out the electric motors ?  I could make this list five times longer.

I could go on for days when it comes to RVs and complete system checks.  If someone's only going to charge you a couple of hundred dollars for a complete system check on the motorhome they are an idiot because they don't know what they're doing they don't know the complete systems of a motorhome you cannot take a RV to an automotive shop and have it checked out it's completely different then a car or a pick up truck or a little minivan.

Whoever created this business model has no clue what they're doing.   I feel their business model is to refer you to local automotive shops to have your cars and vans and pick up trucks checked out and they are the middleman to make money on work they've never done.  The above is my opinion.

now below is there a checklist for a motorhome,  Who would you have check out your RV me or somebody that they refer you to. LOL LMFAO...............RV expert witness

Lemon squad says they do inspections on RVs. This Ohta be good

AUTHOR: RV expert witness - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, October 20, 2017

used to own a RV repair business.  And I know what it takes to do a complete RV inspection.   This company called lemon squad seems like they look for businesses auto repair shops that want to pay to become a inspector.   I don't think that I would take a RV to any company that sells inspections.

I looked at their website nowhere does it mention anything about LP gas safe operation nor does it mention anything about LP gas leak detection service.  The reason it doesn't on their website probably because they don't know what they're talking about.   Below is a list of what they say they look at when you have a motorhome inspected.   The things that are extremely important or not mentioned.   I don't know if this is a franchise operation that they're trying to sell whatever just trying to  contract with local repair shops across the country to do inspections.

As a expert witness for lawyers when it comes to RV lawsuits. I know what I'm talking about I would not bring an RV to anyone of these companies.   Look at the list below it does not mention anything about LP gas leak detection or LP gas safe operation..

LP gas leak detection is very precise and you have to know what you're doing or you will miss what's really going on.   LP gas has what's called an LP gas expansion rate.  I'm willing to bet 90% of the RV repair shops across the country do not know what the expansion rate is of LP gas.   I will explain it to the people that are green peas

If you have one liquid gallon of propane in the tank inside the tank it's liquid form when it's under pressure.  When it's released into the atmosphere one liquid gallon of propane in the tank will expand a 270 gallons of explosive vapor.

So if you have 25 gallons of propane in the tank it's released into the atmosphere by leak that somebody did not know how to detect that 25 gallons of liquid propane expands to 6750 gallons of explosive vapor

If you have 40 gallons of propane in the tank and it's released into the atmosphere through a leak it will expand to 10,800 gallons of explosive vapor.   Now I'm sure that you understand what I'm talking about when it comes to expansion rate I am very skeptical of this company.   I'm sure that this company will get a lot of negative reviews posted on the Internet on various review sites..

I'm also sure that the businesses that contract will get unfortunate reviews posted on the Internet by their customers if they do not know what they're doing their name could be easily dipped into the mud if they do not have qualified staff to do the inspections.

They will probably wind up with a lot more negative reviews than positive reviews.   Now the list that they have on their website of items they check on motorhomes.  What a JOKE....

LOL and LMFAO......
