I have bought LOTS of computers in my life, and I have received support that has been ok at best to great, but by far Lenovo has the worst service of any company.
I decided to look at Lenovo to possibly replace many of our employee laptops with Lenovo's, so back in january 2016, I went to best buy and purchased a Yoga 700. Now, it's not their top of the line unit, but the thinking is if a company is descent enough it doesn't matter what you buy. Anyways, I bought it, and when I took it home it wouldn;t even power up. The next day went back to best buy, where they gave me another new unit.
A couple of months went by without any issues, until one day the screen started acting up. Please keep in mind that I am what one would explain as a computer expert. I thought maybe it was something I did, so I reinstalled the OS, at first that seemed to work, but after about a week it did it again. So, for laughs and giggles set it back to the factory setting.
In March, the unit pretty much started to become unusable, and it is blantantly obvious that it is defective. So, I called it in, explained to them what had been done, and they sent me a box to send in. The ticket was opened on April 7th. On their website they say it takes 7 business days to the repairs. It's now May 14th, 2016, and I just got off the phone with support where I was clearly upset, and again they gave me the run around. Their excuse this time was their systems were down, so there isn;t anything they could do for me. All they do at Lenovo support is delay, delay, delay. To date, I still do not have my unit back, nor do I know what the status is. Has it been repaired, is it waiting for parts, what???? Just tell me the truth!
A company's standing is based upon the level of support they give their customers, and Lenovo is HORRIBLE!!!!
If you seriously want to but a laptop, I would highly recommend a Microsoft surface because they honestly have the best support out there.
Do not waste your money on any Lenovo products. That's the best advice I can give you.
