 I have used Liberty Natural products for over a decade and I know no company is perfect and will make mistakes here and there but I just have to say that they have always been wonderful to me. Even this week, once again I ordered wrong and they are always eager to make changes even if it means a smaller order. Please tell me you are NOT going out of business! I've ordered products from Liberty in the past and have never had any problems with their service or products. One of their essential oils I didn't care for as much as a similar oil from another supplier, at the time, but I chalk this up to that particular batch. With essential oils, even from the same company, you can't be assured of getting the exact same substance each time. Always buy a sample before purchasing a larger quantity and make sure it's from the same batch. Oils can vary quite a bit from one season to another as do the products that are made from them. Nature is not an exact science.

 I am a long-time soap maker who manufactures and sells natural soaps in a retail business. I have been ordering essential oils and absolutes from Liberty Natural Products for years. I discovered Liberty rose water in a health food store, loved it, and contacted the company. Ever since I have been more than satisfied with Liberty's products, service and prices. Seeing the remarks against Liberty Natural Products in the Rip-Off report surprises me. I have had a totally opposite experience, and In fact am ordering from Liberty again today. There are certain products I can find nowhere else, and it is easier to order from them than from any of the other companies I deal with. I find the quality of their products consistently top notch. I would like to advise anyone who is in the market for essential oils, aromatherapy products or any of the other natural products that Liberty offers to give them a chance before writing them off as a "rip off" company. Potential customers who are turned away by such reports could lose out on a very good experience. I have no connection with Liberty Natural Products except as a happy long- time customer, and am writing this rebuttal today as an attempt to set the record straight. I have very positive feelings toward this company, and it bothers me to see these people unfairly maligned.

Look, I've no dog in this fight. I've written ripoff reports when they are really deserved, and feel consumers need to be warned. But when these things are taken advantage of, it hurts everyone, and belittles the forum. 

From just the little I read, this sounds like a disgruntled employee. Especially with the vitriolic responses to each every defense from the company. It has all the earmarks of an obssessed employee. I've no idea how this company treats their employees; but to say things that are simply untrue, is something entirely different.

I've ordered from this company, and have had many conversations with them. They are always pleasant, patient, and helpful. I've never had a probelm with their quality, and I have, at least 10 similar suppliers. Each supplier may have a slightly better quality/price for ingredients, and I order from competitors from this company who simply may have a slightly better quality/price ratio. Sometimes this company has a better quality/price ratio. 

Some of their prices are silly expensive, others are fantastic. But that's business. If I had to pick any negative, at all, it may be their difficult to navigate website, which is poorly put together. But that review is not appropriate here, as it has nothing to do with a "rip off".

Please, keep this forum clean. Not for a place to lie, and air your dirty laundry. 

I have dealt with this company. They delivered in a timely manner the exact products I ordered. The products were of good quality and well packaged. They were in the proper containers for maintaining their quality for an extended time and the prices were less than half of other suppliers. I called the customer service and they were very helpful as well. When there was a problem with my order they phoned immediately and offered a substitute item of comparable quality at a lesser price. I overall am very satisfied with my dealings with Liberty Natural Products and intend to keep using them in the future. I am a real customer, not related to anyone who works at or owns this company. Having purchased Liberty Natural Products regularly over the past 5 years, I have never had a problem. I find the products to be the highest quality, thoroughly described and priced competitively. Customer service has always been friendly and efficient, and delivery on time. These negative reports found here at RipOff.com are malicious and uncalled for. I know because I deal with this company regularly and continue to do so. I rate Liberty Natural Products and service an A+.

Liberty, his lawyer and his supplier ALL ADMIT in writing AND on the stand Liberty has major quality issues including bugs!? I couldn't believe it when I read that one...how totally gross is that???

I think Liberty barked up the wrong tree once again...his big mouth always gets him in trouble it appears!

How funny this Dierking guy would think that the world would actually believe a Sunrise client would go to HIS blog and defend him!? How would a Sunrise client even find him-they know nothing about him...how obvious he is-Mr Dierking wrote the above severe defamation about the Hoffmans... As if that would be possible to make this connection between Libery and Sunrise..as usual Mr Dierking wrote these horrible cruel things about Ms Hoffman and continues to destroy HIMSELF by defaming her, her family and others...even his ex wife figured him out and left him...he is an unstable cannon just waiting to blow...he already ruined his marriage, his employee relations and now his credibility...
PS this case is being appealed I find out in the appelate court the Hoffmans told me when I emailed them. As a farmer, Mr Dierking should know not to count his chickens until they hatch.

I am sure Liberty is a fine business an no one will take the word of a person defending Valerie Hawk Hoffman. The Hoffmans have had multiple court orders against them from all kinds of companies, the state of Conn., banks, house forclosures, etc. I fear she will destroy herself and her family on the route she is going. I really do pray for her and her family. Her practice in the past was to use multiple email addresses with different names and this complaint sounds just like the letters we recieved from her when we cancelled our credit card so she coudn't charge further orders on it. She was very angry and ranted from another email, using irrational and unsubstantiated arguements. Shortly there after Conneticut filed a class action lawsuit against her. So don't worry...no one will believe anything written here attacking your comany. We wish you luck.

The Hard Earned Good Reputation of Liberty Natural Products, Inc. and James Dierking is being Ripped Off by this False Posting!

To our knowledge there are only two negative postings on the internet regarding Liberty Natural Products, Inc. They are both Ripoff Reports # 425980 and #408898. To put this into perspective please consider the following facts. We have been in business since 1982, as an importer, distributor and producer of essential oils, botanicals and extracts. We were one of the early pioneers on the web initiating our first website in 1995. Our accumulated sales volume is approximately $45,000,000.00. We aspire to be a company of excellence and strive daily in processing each order to achieve that goal. When problems arise, we endeavor to timely and fairly resolve them, just as we would want for ourselves. Our reputation worldwide says that we have done a good job and we appreciate what our customers have done for us. We do very little advertising, primarily relying on the goodwill word of mouth referral of our customers.

The postings about us are not based on any legitimate complaints. We challenge the posters to reveal their identity and provide a factual basis for the postings. The postings are full of false statements, defamation and innuendo. We have reason to believe they may have been motivated by a civil action we filed for breach of contract against Valerie Hawk Hoffman, David Hoffman, Sunrise Herbal Remedies, Inc. Dissolved and Sage Advice of Palm Beach Inc. The suit, CV08030717 was filed in the Circuit Court of the State of Oregon for the County of Clackamas. We have also been subject to regulatory retribution promised by Valerie Hawk Hoffman. Fortunately, it actually helped us in getting assistance from the Oregon Department of Agriculture in working towards GMP certification for our production facilities. Coincidentally, another vendor company involved in a disagreement with Sunrise Herbal Remedies, Inc, is Fantastibath, who also has been the recipient of several Ripoff Reports#187813 and #370863. Another coincidence is that both Fantastibath and Liberty Natural Products, Inc. had postings by Bob from Park City, Utah. Also the reports contain similar references to rashes, generalization of the poor quality of the products, and disparagement of the character of the owners. Lee Brown owner of Fantastibath in his rebuttals indicates he also believes the postings against him may have been made by the same party we've filed suit against.

We have requested that these malicious and damaging reports be removed by Ripoff Reports, but were told that barring an order of the Court they would not remove them.
We have submitted a rebuttal to these fraudulent reports in order to mitigate damages to our reputation and business.

We support free speech rights and the concept of empowerment of the public to air their grievances on the web. However, we feel with those rights come responsibilities. Particularly, by companies offering for profit remediation services for the effects of apparently unmonitored postings. When a company provides evidence of malicious and false postings and are informed that a disputed matter is under the jurisdiction of the court, we believe the hosting site should act responsibly and remove the defective postings. If Ripoff Reports is interested in truth and justice they will review their database and compare the email addresses relating to these postings, audit the content, and then wisely decide whether they want to help the consumer avoid ripoffs or aid and abet them.

The poster of this rebuttal does not agree that the posting of this rebuttal shall provide exclusive jurisdiction to the State of Arizona over any disputes arising out of this posting.
