From what I can tell, this appears to be an offshoot of the fake US company scamming people.

They have a new method apparently, they post ads for high paying jobs on craigslist/kijiji and wait for a response. In my case, I sent in a resume for "Executive Assistant ($66 000)".

The following was the response I received:

Hi *****,

You have a lot of great, relevant experience and are an ideal candidate, 
although your resume should be improved before moving any further with 
it. I can refer you to a resume writing expert that will be able to 
improve your resume to the standard we require and from what I know he 
charges about $145 or so. Please let me know if I can forward your 
resume to the expert so that you may get in contact with them and once 
your resume has been improved please resubmit it to me as soon as possible.

Seeems a little too convenient for a supposed employment solutions company? And weird. I've never had a company ask to update my resume in order to be considered for a job, especially not for a cost of $145. At any rate, when I tried their site it didn't work, and then when I googled them I found all the reports on here for Lightship Employment and it's many names. Also the picture on the LinkedIn profile of the guy that contacted me is a stock image of a boys soccer coach. It has all the earmarks of a scan (and not a particularly good one either).
