We Stumbled upon the Linders Furntiure in early July of 2005. After searching for weeks we found the perfect sectional and media cabinet for our new home.

After minor negotiations the Linders Sales Rep agreed upon a price for a sectional sofa and entertainment center. We had a big screen TV being delivered the next day, so I paid an extra $60 to have everything delivered the next day also. With the notable exception of 2 small media cabinets (minor add on components of the wall unit)which were back ordered and would be delivered later in early July.

Well the next day the sectional showed up and 3 of 5 pieces of the media cabinet also arrived. The problem was, the piece of the media cabinet that didn't arrive was the TV stand! I asked the delivery people where it was and they said it was out of stock. This is a problem because later on that day I had a 60 inch TV being delivered from Best Buy.

I called my Linders Rep first thing on Sunday. I was told she was helping customers and would call me back. After 2 hours of no response I called her again. Again, she was busy. After a third call (she never called me), she told me she would look into the missing piece. The next day she called me back to let me know that the unit was damaged and it would be another week before a replacement arrived.

A very long story short, I was promised the delivery of the unit 3 more times the next month. Every time, I was told a different date and the unit never arrived. To add insult to injury the sales person we we were dealing with refused to answer any of our calls as did the local store manager. When we finally spoke to a store manager about returning the unit, he said we had to call another number and their would be a re-stocking fee. You can imagine our disgust!!!

It is now the 1st week in October and we just received our final media units for our media cabinet. Lesson learned? Linders Furniture has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I spend well of 5K in one day which may not be a lot to many, but to us it is a substantial purchase. I will never again deal with this company and I recommend avoiding them like the plague. I sure wish I would have found "ripoffreport.com" before running into these people because we are obviously not an isolated case!

This is a common practice of Linder's I took them to court and I filed a complaint with the BBB. I even went as far as meeting the Owner Phil Linder who should be the CEJ (Cheif Executive Jerk). I went to court with all the complaints from Rip Off Report.com and won. I suggest you do the same.
