This has got to be the worst real estate company and the worst apartments (The Cornerstone Apartments) with the WORSE management of all time. The management is rude, they don't work with you and when it's "time for you to go", they don't work with you at all even though we pay our rent ALL OF THE TIME. We found somewhere else to live, signed our tenet notice to leave but sadly, the apartments didn't let us move in so we asked them if we can stay here and pay our rent until we find another apartment to live in, once again, they refuse to work with us They pretend that it's OUR fault that the other apartments didn't let us in by responding
"Well, you signed the notice so you have to leave" "Can we work something out, we pay our rent on time all the time with no missed payments and we are good tenets, never caused a problem. Can we at least just pay our rent until we find another place to live? We asked. "No" the rude manager replied. "We already rented your apartment to someone else so you have to leave and if you don't, we are going to throw your stuff out". Not to mention we have a son with multiple disabilities that they don't even take into consideration.
We pay our rent on time every d**n time! I see no reason why they couldn't just work with us and let us pay rent here until we found somewhere else to live since the apartment that was going to let us live there bummed out on us. It's not like we're asking to stay in this s**t stain for free. Not to mention, the apartment was butt-struck dirty when we moved in. Now we have to go to court to fight for something that's not even our fault. Let this review be the big red sign in the middle of the deserted island that reads "STAY AWAY AND NEVER RETURN"

I did tell them I was leaving, but they also told me that if I stay over my time that my lease would automatically roll over for one more year. When I asked them if my lease will roll over to the next year because I couldn't find a place, they told me that it's not possible even though a week ago they told me other wise (forgot to put that in the report).
There are plenty of places here that the other tenet can move into, lots of them are empty and that shouldn't be a problem. Only thing that I know right now is that I can't find a place to live and they told me I can stay if I couldn't find a place to live, they went back on that promise.
And he does have something to do with this, he freakin' lives with me. I pointed that out to say that they could've at least TRIED to work with me instead of just trying to put us out. You say that the only way they can work with us is by telling the other tenet that they can't move in, untrue. Why can't they move us to another apartment or another apartment building that's owned by the same company? Plenty of them are available. Don't say "It's because you didn't ask" because we did ask, they still refused. It's not like we don't pay our rent.
I pointed that out to say that they don't care about handicapped people are people in general (many other reviews on this place say the same thing), so your claim that I want "sympathy" from random strangers on the internet is completely asinine.
It's ok though, we have lawers and people that are helping us that are taking our side on the matter. I just posted this to let people know.

You told them you were leaving and on that assertion they rented the apartment to another tenant.
The only way they could "work with you" would be to tell the other tenant that they can't move in. Now, put yourself in the shoes of the other tenant. Would that be fair to them? Especially when you stated you are only going to stay as long as it takes for you to find another apartment.
Oh and your son having a disability has nothing to do with this. In fact it actually reduces any legitimacy that your report many have had because it is very obvious that the only reason you put it in was to use him in an attempt to gain sympathy.
