Lion's Gate Consulting Urgent Gram Grant Scam New York? Internet

As a result of of completing online surveys, my wife and I received a little green card in our mail box!. It stated roughly that we were elegible for up to $5000 in government grants and gave a TOLL free number for us to call.It seemed a legitimate offer so my wife called the number provided.

During a fairly lengthy conversation she was advised, by respectible sounding, mature lady, that most people were eligible for fairly substantial grants they were unaware of and that her company would do the groundwork for a nominal fee to cover paralegal expenses etc.

As a result of the conversation my wife expressed a desire to pursue this further. She was told that the fee of $300 was required in advance, but within a couple of months we were guaranteed to recoup a minimumn of several thousand dollars!

To cut a long story short at the beginning of August as funds were a littel short we contacted the company to cancel the subscription. The gentlemman we spoke with this time advised that a minimum of 72 hours notice was required to cancel and that the funds would be withdrawn from out bank account the next day!. We immediately called the bank and told them to refuse to honour anything from "Lions GAte COnsulting".
End fo story!...NOT.

Yesterday, nearly three weeks after the cancellation Lions gate tried to acces the bank account and withdraw the $299.97. We were lucky, an alert bank worker recalled the name and gave us a call, we went straight to the bank and filled in the required paperwork to stop them accessing the account.

Please be aware, These people arent offering a service, ....well they are, to clear your account of your hard earned money.
