My mortgage was sold to this company by Chase Mortgage last year, they began notifying me that due to my excellent payment record I should consider contacting them to lock in at a fixed rate, before my rate increased. I logged in 17 calls, all were referred to a voicemailbox where I left my contact information. No one ever returned my calls, then they returned my second payment check to me, uncashed with no explanation.

Within 3 weeks, they notified me of an escrow assessment of several hundred dollars, plus back escrow payments due. All this for a contract with no escrow account, I have all payments for insurance and tax drafted. 3 calls to correct, one employee who felt sorry for my runaround with them told me that they never call people, recommended I email to get corrected, and again transferred me to the loan modification folks' voicemail. Still no response. They returned my next two payments again with no explanation.

I finally called in mid November and requested a supervisor. when told none available, I told them to get me a supervisor or tell me where to mail my keys to the house. I got one. She actually took all the information for the loan modification...had me fax my pay stubs, and told me someone would get back to me. The next notification I got was for forclosure action.

Unfortunately I don't feel my paying them the untoward amount they are asking of me will resolve my problems with this company. It is much worse than a bad marriage, and much more emotionally abusive. I had one rep recommend I get a second job. even though I work about 60 hours a week already, then suggested I move some man in to help pay the higher mortgage payments.

I may get the last laugh though, the Georgia law regarding foreclosure states if they sell for amt of loan, court can set aside if not sold at fair market value.

If I have to take this hit on my credit report, I guess I will push the issue, and I have already inquired on the predatory lending laws and pending litigation against these type of vile creatures.

I am not the type to walk away from a fight, but I feel this is armed robbery, they are holding a loaded house to my head and demanding moneys not due to them, and it's loaded with lethal blast to the credit report. I'm tired. but I don't have a family to worry about a place to stay, I think I need to fight to help those abused by these folks that do.

After notifying the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, they sent a letter to Litton demanding ALL documentation of the loan and for their vice-president to contact me by today or they would face fines/sanctions/possible suspension of banking priveledge in this state.
Guess what? Consumer requests are not the only ones they don't respond to. I hope the government sinks Larry Litton's little pretend scam of a mortgage service company. this will make all his bogus testimony before the House of Representatives banking committee a whole new spin. His testimony centered around how consumer oriented his people were, and how committed they were to keeping people in their homes.
