I signed up as a loan officer with this company and ordered 15 Reverse Mortgage leads to be delivered over a 3 month period. The leads were $50 each. I knew they had some BBB complaints about their lead program but it appeared they had been resolved so I decided to take a chance. I got 5 leads the first month. Out of these 5 leads 4 were more than 100 miles from my location. On 2 of the 5 leads it was obvious that the borrowers did not have enough equity to qualify. They have a policy of sending leads even when they already have enough information to know they won't qualify. In my opinion that is not a valid lead.

When I contacted the borrower on another lead he denied ever having sent in a post card. The sales manager called him with me on the line and he did not recall sending in a postcard and in response to the idea of a reverse mortgage he said he had "millions" (why would he be interested in something like that). I suspect that someone probably just pulled this guys name and number from somewhere and it was not a valid lead. j

I received my first December lead. Again it was more than 100 miles from my location and again it was clear that the borrower did not have enough equity to qualify.

I contacted the sales manager and asked that my contract for the remaining leads be canceled and I be given a refund for the remaining December leads that I had not recieved. They refused. I have canceled the credit card to keep them from charging more.

Stay away from this company. Their lead program is a total ripoff.

Live Well Financial = Total RIP OFF

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

I have to agree with this person. Based on my interaction the Live Well Financial leads system is a total scam!!!

DO NOT BUY LEADS FROM LIVE WELL FINANCIAL

Here are some of the many problems with this company:

First, Live Well Financial is completely unconcerned with the quality of Loan Officers. I made the mistake of submitting an application to this company. In the beginning, I was spammed by over 20 emails asking me to go to an online training seminar. I told them that I wouldn't be able to attend until after September, but the daily emails asking me to attend training continued.

When I finally took the training seminar, I was severely disappointed. Aside from technical problems (which may not have been their fault) the webinar was completely disorganized, and appeared to have been put together the night before.

It is painfully clear that as long as you can 1.) breathe, 2.) buy leads (from them only), and 3.) aren't a convicted felon, they will hire you.

There are no requirements (aside from not being a felon) to be a loan officer with Live Well Financial. This makes me VERY worried about what type of people Live Well Financial has representing them.

BEWARE of the leads program. The figures they show you regarding the closing ratios of their leads are extremely inflated. Based on my experience, other Live Well Financial loan officers I talked to, as well as posters on this website, it is clear that Live Well Financial does very little in terms of market research and lead generation

All they do is send out postcards, and then sell the loan officers all the crap they get back. For all we know, they are keeping the good leads for themselves.
They claim that their leads cost SO much because they are better than other companies'. To this, I say BULL S***. Anyone can send out postcards, and sell the info. It's not rocket science.

Do not think you're going to get any support from Live Well Financial from their Sales Managers either. You can never get one on the phone, they never return your calls, and when you do, they aren't helpful at all.

If you want to be a reverse mortgage loan officer and have the luxury of working from home and setting your own schedule, there are many bigger and more reputable companies you can work for. I am very happy as a loan officer now. I work at a very large, well known financial institution (which will remain nameless). I get better attention and care from this large bank, than I ever did from Live Well Financial.
