Living scriptures Said they wanted to give me a free DVD but I had to sign to receive one a month and could cancel at any time. Ogden Utah

I was at the Mall and these guys kept saying we would like to give you this free dvd and they were LDS, I said to them I am not LDS and they told me that the DVD's were religous stories that were great for children to learn about being a good person, ect ect ect basically they wouldn't let me go until I took a dvd and signed up.

They told me that I didn't have to worry as I could cancel at any time and I would never have to pay more unless I chose to of $30 a month. So just to get them out of my hair that is what I did and they asured me that I could cancel at any time again. 

Well I got a comformation letter from Living Scriptures and I nearly passed out when I saw that said I owed them nearly $3,000 as you can imagine I immediately called them and went balistic !

The Lady on the phone said you can't cancel it as it has been more than three days, I told her that I hadn't recieved anything so just cancel it and we are done. The representative refused and said I would have to send her the reciept I signed that said I only had three days to cancel. WHAT !!!! (Nobody told me that !)  I did not have it in front of me but I told her do not send anything as I don't want it I am not even LDS !!! She said you would have to prove to us that you did not know before we can cancel it as it has been over 3 days and she told me that nothing had been sent out to me yet. I said to her DO NOT send me anything because I don't want it then I finished the call because she was pissing me off so bad. 

When I looked on the receipt that is what it said in tiny writing, but still I had told her not to send anything as I did not want it so stop anything before it is sent out to me, the next thing I knew a box arrived at my door that I had told her not to send!!! which to this day I have not opened. They continue to take $30 out of my bank account and this part is the part that is the final straw for me....

I just moved and had my mail redirected, well here there is today a new dvd in my mail and guess what ? IT was not redirected it has my new address which I have not given them because I hadn't even found this house yet when I spoke to the rep on the phone months ago to try and cancel. I would like to know how they got my new address! and please anyone who can tell me how I can stop this I have not opened any of the dvds not even the free one and why on earth would I want nearly three thousand dollars worth of LDS stuff when I am not LDS !!!!!!!

So they are all still at the Mall and I am cringing when I see people there at their stalls (yes there is more than one stall in the mall ) and still they are not just asking they are almost grabbing people to sign up.

Well then I was looking for a new job and low and behold they are advetising for sales people for Living Scriptures and it says there are big commision checks ! 

If anyone can help me solve this I would apprieciate it , this has got to stop they are praying on innocent people and its awful. If it was a couple of hundred dollars it wouldn't be so bad but thousands are you kidding me !! 

I never in a million years thought I was getting scammed ! I have some LDS friends and they are lovely people so when these guys said they were LDS I just trusted them. Can I go to the mall and tell them what they are doing ? It just makes me sick to see them reeling in other people when I go and of course I havn't even seen the same guy there who had me sign up they must rotate them for this very reason grrrr.

What a bunch of nasty people !
