Loandepot.com Told us we were closing this week and never even sent the loan to processing Foothill Ranch California

on August 7th I started a loan application with loandepot.com, Greg Vigil was the Senior loan officer assigned to my refinance.  For the first three days while he collected my information, thing were fine.  Two weeks later he called to ask for another document and said we should close in two weeks. A month later, after I have already borrowed money from my dad to do this loan, I still heard nothing so I emailed Greg and was told they are working on it.  It is now October 1st and for the past five days I have emailed every morning only to receive the "we are working on it" and after my twenty emails, Greg assured me the loan was going to be done last night and he would call me to set up closing.  Big surprise, no phone call.  today I emailed Dave, another loan officer that was supposed to be working on my file, and he called me to apologize for the delay (since I sent yet another email and was quite upset!) he told me that the loan was waiting for a roof inspection to be done as a stipulation to getting the loan.  Not only was I not notified about this, I had been lied to by Greg who said it was getting ready to close!  This loan was to pay bills and fix up my house, so once I was told closing would be this week, I ripped up 3000.00 dollars worth of carpeting and padding and now I have unfinished floors!!  The refinance would only be approved if I put a new roof on and who has that kind of money? So now, I'm out 350.00 for the starting fees and 3000.00 worth of carpeting. Yeah, Dave said he would tell them I wanted my money back and he didn't see a problem with it, but he would call me and let me know......still waiting for that phone call. Any guesses how long this one will take?
