Loblaw US - Barry Harrison - Paul Smith - Cate William Lottery Scam? Jersey City New Jersey

Well, yesterday March 31st 2008 my grandmother recived a letter stateing she had one a sum of 100,000$ US dollar's, from a Company in Canada. I looked up the compay, Loblaw US, and it is a Real company, and really is in Canada. Enclosed in the letter was a check for 3,000$. The letter state's that my grandmother would have to deposite the check into her account, and than contact them about reciveing the rest of the money. The letter also state's that 2,500$ in tax money will be paid to, apperantly, an appointed tax agent, Cate William 753 Fraser Street. Toronto Canada.

Now, it say's we had won the money from a lottery held on Feb. 4th, 2008. Which my grandmother has no remberance of entering a contest in Canada. The Check looks offical, but in the letter the made several mistake's, such as "30 MONTGOMERY STREET" was spelt "30 MONGOMERY STREET" Missing a "T". So I don't really think a Compay sending out a letter would make such a crucial mistake, which could get them in serious troble, but than again it happen's. We have'nt deposited the check yet, but it dose look sespecious...
