Lorelia Anti-Aging company is a scam.  While on Groupon I received a survey to fill out that said you will receive a FREE gift at the end for filling out the survey.  When i did so it said that I recieved over $100 free gift from Lorelia Anti-Aging beauty company, all you needed to pay was the minimal shipping.  However 14 days later they charged me over $100 for the product.  When I called to discuss the charges with the company they informed me that their policy is to charge the full value of the product 14 days after the date of the purchase and have no refund policy.  I explained to them that it said it was a free gift, for filling out a survey and I had only recieve the product less than 5 days earlier so it was still within the 14 days.  They explained that they charge from the date of order regardless when you recieve the product.

It looks like a scam to me!

AUTHOR: Susan - ()

POSTED: Saturday, March 29, 2014
I clicked on a link Ad labelled  "Receive A Free 30 Day Supply Of Lorelia Anti-Aging Formula Use our "Exclusive" link and you pay just £3.95 shipping!

This Ad is at best very misleading and, at worst, a complete con.

Having read the terms, hidden away at the bottom of the page, I discovered that this so-called "free" offer is no such thing!  It is in fact a 14-day "trial" (which is not referred to or even alluded to in the initial advert) which begins at the point of order (not the point of receipt, please note! So, the consumer does definitely not receive a 14-day trial period!)and the 14 days includes non-business days.

The terms state that delivery can take up to 4 business days. So, if I ordered the product on a Tuesday, it could be the following Monday before it arrived and therefore likely to be the Tuesday before I could begin using it. So, 7 days would have elapsed before I even started my "trial period".  I would then actually only have until the Friday (assuming the company doesn't operate on non-business days) to try it and register a cancellation if I didn't like it. So, effectively my trial period would be three days, not 14!

Even if the initial advert clearly stated the nature of this "exclusive special offer" (which it does not) how on earth could anyone be reasonably expected to try the product and form a valid opinion in 3 days?!

I think this is advert is a scam, as the earlier poster said, and if it were a UK company I would report it.  An advert which is misleading the consumer in the way this one does would not be legal in the UK - and any trial period for a product would have to begin on the day of receipt and if it was for 14 days, that would be 14 business days from the date of receipt of the product.

I'm surprised that this kind of scam is legal in Canada. Maybe it's time to tighten up Canadian distance-selling and consumer laws.

Lorelia is a scam

AUTHOR: 68 St. Andrew St - ()

POSTED: Sunday, October 06, 2013

Lorelia is still a scam.  They contacted me after this to say they would like to resolve the issues, yet after responding to them with the information they required for they neglected to respond back, refund or do anything.

The complaint is about their shady marketing techniques.  I filled out a survey with which they said I could select a free gift.  Sorry, but a fee gift doesn’t mean you get charged for it.

The product itself isn’t good.  The cream is watery and doesn’t work well.
