Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse ripoff the business that doesn't give a darn The saga continues Reno Nevada

To follow up on my previously reported debacle with Lowe's re: my French doors.

The manager of store finally called me (as I had emailed Lowe's main company my complaint as well). Mr. Metcalf was most professional and seemed concerned re: my problems with his store.

He reassured me that my doors would be delivered in a week.They were (yesterday) delivered as promised.

Unfortunately Lowe's employee in door dept. had originally informed my contractor and myself that rough door opening to be made was to be 62"x83".
My contractor made opening to those specs.

Door is actually...62'x80 1/2" so..contractor has to redo header and make smaller by 2' the top of opening.
This costs me extra money in labour and supplies!!!

Secondly I had ordered doors to-open out-.

The doors I rec'd in fact do open out..but..
They put non security hinges on the doors!!

This means the hinges have pins that can be easily removed and the doors taken off..all from the outside!!

So I now have to purchase new hinges (& replace new hinges on my new doors) and pay contractor to replace the hinges...

I am so very apalled and angry with Lowe's!!

I attempted to call the store manager re: these new problems but he is off today..

I feel Lowe's should at least offer some type of retribution to me.

All their mistakes have cost me a few hundred dollars that I shouldn't have had to spend...let alone the frustration & aggrevation...

I strongly suggest to you consumers out there..to think a few times before you use Lowe's Reno as a provider.

Do it yourself?? Good luck, if this has been any example. My contractor is so very angry and disgusted with Lowe's and he knows what he is doing!! Can you imagine if you weren't a professional??

So needless to say I shall never, and I mean never, purchase even a nail from Lowe's of Reno again.

I refuse to give my hard earned money to a provider such as that...and I'll let family and friends know about this mess as well..

You betcha, they are on my "list"
