I heard an advertisement for a free tape for stress and anxiety on the radio. I called the toll free number that was provided. I was told a credit card was need to cover shipping and handling. I wasn't told anything about the 30 day trial period until my card had been charged several times
The package was a total disappointment about some wealthy frustrated woman who was afraid to be left along in a mall. I canceled my credit to stop future transactions and I mailed back the package. This was a few years ago and now a balance of $294.00 showing up on my credit report.
I am willing to pay someone to exposed this plot. I will pay above and beyond what is said I owed them. I wrote a letter to the better business bureau but never received any feed back. I hate people who prey on vulnerable people. This is a very hurtful and embarrassing issue and Lucinda Bassett should be put in jail.

Having just expereinced a divorce and losing my "way of life" I was very distressed and saw an infomercial one sleepless night. I called the number and talked with a very gentle "salesperson" and purchased the TAPES ( this was 9 years ago $350). I was assured that I could return the tapes within a certain amount of timne for full refund - which I did with no problem. My money was refunded.
I had copied the tapes and listened to them dozens of times over the next year. The approach and information was "perfect for ME." I am a very logical and usually rational person and I LOVED that it was a woman - Lucinda - who was showing me the validity of the cognative approach to understanding that am the one creating my feelings with my (chosen) reactions to 'life".
Sometimes - SIMPLER IS BETTER - and it can be difficult for an individual to see what is obvious. The information in the tapes was presrented in such a way that I could SEE the obvious and, franklly, my life was transformed and still is!!!
I have no clue how "greedy" a system or individual is or becomes. I immagine there are lots of commisssions that pass around and everyone wants to "make a living." All I know is that I felt at the time and still feel that Lucinda - personally - would not really care that I copied the tapes and GOT what she has to offer. That is her mission. Of course she could not stay in a position to help others like me if she was not "in business" with all the compromise and ugliness that goes along with that.
I LOVE Lucinda as a main character in my life - even though she has no clue I exist. At the time I could not afford the $350 but maybe I am making up for that here. There is NO FIXED PRICE for self fullfillment and any person with something REAL to offer is not personally selfish about it. Thank you Lucinda
