Muhammad Ali is a crook I can confirm, he is the owner of this store. I found an ad on Kijiji for a laptop which was priced reasonably. I called to enqiure if they have it before going all the way to their store.

He said yes we have it, don't worry we will hold it for you. I am a student and I cannot afford a brand new laptop so this seemed like a good deal until I graduate and get a job, I needed a laptop to get through.

I had saved up working part time for this particular reason to buy a computer as mine broke a long time ago. When I went to the store, to my surprise he said we don't know if you will show up or not, I just sold it to someone. I figured its a  lie and what I was looking at was bait and switch. He never even had that laptop in the first place. I should have left right then. Instead he convinced me that he has even better laptops and was trying to sell it to a higher price. I got visibly annoyed that Muhammad Ali had me travel all the way on the public transit to his address to run a bait and swtich scam.

He noticed I was not interested in paying anything extra, so he said okay I apoligize it is my fault for selling it to someone else. For that reason, I will give you this other laptop which is equal to the one on ad for the same price. I never agreed to the price I was going to get a good deal in person.

I just thought okay that is not so bad and I agreed to pay for it. I had a bag with me. After I paid for it cash, he distracted me saying he has other things with him like iPad and just rambled about a lot of things while he still had my laptop I paid for in his hand. After walking around a bit, he put the laptpp in hand that I know I paid for (i7 Intel, with dedicated graphics card) He dutifily put a laptop in my bag and I thought okay thats nice of him, he continued to distract me saying I will get you a charger.

After getting distracted he gave me a charger, and I left the store as I had to get back to my night shift work. When I came home, I opened my bag to find out that the crook swapped the laptop I paid for, to a different one with is AMD old model that no one would even want if you gave them for free. I was shocked by this and I couldnt believe this happened to me. I thought maybe it was a mistake. Maybe he didnt notice it.

Then I sat through and it finally clicked that whole point of distraction was to get me to pay for a lpatop and swap it at the end. I went there the next day, this time Muhammad Ali was not the same person who talked all that sweet, he literally screamed at me that it is my fault that I did not check the bag when I left the store. I got very uncomfortable because he did this in front of a few people who were there. When they saw this they gave me some time alone and left.

I asked him to give me the laptop that I paid for, which he laughed and said what laptop? Oh that one, sorry that one is already sold. We had many of the same model laptop, I did not know it was the  one I sold it to you. So I sold it to someone else.

So I asked him to give me a refund, for which he said sorry no refund. Did you not see the board? No refund or exchange. I started to become very upset, that I lost my hard earned money and I paid cash so there was nothing I could do. Then this guy did something remarkable. He was trying to sell me another laptop he had, he showed me that and said now I see you are upset so I will give you this laptop but you have to pay me anotehr $500 because it is i7.

I started to cry and said I paid for an i7. He said, I never sold you an i7. It was i5 the one you paid for yesterday. I said, NO! I specifically know its i7 that is why I travelled this far.

After I said that, this guy tried to kick me out saying I am wasting his time, either pay $500 and take that laptop or get out of my store. You are  wasting my time. I said, you travelled here twice 2 hours commute. You wasted my time. He tried to grab me to kick me out, he didnt care I am girl.

I told him to not touch me and walked out myself. While I was walking out, he said, I was trying to do you a favor by taking the laptop you have in your hand back, who knows what you took from it, maybe you stole the battery, I wouldn't know.

I couldn't believe what kind of a crook this guy is. He places ads everyday on Kijiji and Craigslist. I wish I had taken someone with me. I lost $450 and stuck with a piece of junk that is not worth $50. It wont even work properly.

This is a good lesson I learned and I wanted to warn others is all.

AUTHOR: Wondergirl - (Canada)

I paid for a laptop after his bait and switch from his ad, because I travelled 2 hours to get to this store. He distracted me at the end before leaving the store, swtiched the laptop I bought, with a piece of junk. Next day when I went there and pleaded to get the laptop I paid for, he laughed and ridiculed me saying he already sold it, if you want I can give you another laptop for $500. There is no exchange or refund for the one you have, I am doing you a favor because I don't know what you did with that laptop which you had all night.

He literally tried to pysically grab me, did not care I am a woman and at that point I was worried about my saftey and left the store. I have never met anyone in my life who cares so much about money that they have no moral code, this person (Muhammad Ali from MAAS COMPUTERS) would even murder you if he can get away with and make a quick buck. Is money that valuable to some people?

That they have to scam defensless students like me to make it? I am so depressed and feel hopeless and embarrassed that I got scammed out of my money that I worked so hard to make doing night shifts at a gym. This is not fair. I hope people read about this store and never go there again. The police did not do anything because I paid cash. I can only hope Karma get this person back for what he is doing to people that trusted him.
