Mohammed Ali the Director of Mass Computers was advertising on Kijiji that he could unlock iCloud on Apple products for $75.00. I went to Maas Computers at 2667 islington ave, etobicoke, on m9v 2x6. Mohammed said he was confident he could unlock iCloud on my iPad Air 2 for $75.00. He even tried to charge me tax. I said I have an Indian status card, I pay 5% tax. Mohammed said ok don't worry, no tax then $75.00 is ok. He said in the rare case we can't unlock iCloud he would refund the $75.00. He said it would take 1 and a half months. After 1 and a half months iCloud was still locked on my iPad. I called Maas several times and they hung up on me. So I went to Maas. Mohammed Ali said he was unable to unlock iCloud on my iPad and he was unable to give me a refund because he had paid someone else to unlock it and they couldn't. This store is a scam. They ripped me off and I believe many others. The store has many laptops and other computers items and nothing has prices on them. Mohammed sets prices on the spot after quickly assessing the potential buyer. From unethical fraudulent practices such as false advertising to what I believe to be tax evasion I hope this place can be investigated and shut down to protect people from being ripped off in the future.

MAAS fabricates stories and calls the Police on their own customers unethically wasting tax payers money.

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, June 02, 2017

MAAS fabricates stories and calls the Police on their own customers unethically wasting tax payers money. This will comprise of my thesis in this conclusion update. MAAS was bullying me to remove this post. They said they were going to sue me for defamation. I am not sure how they would be successful in that venture considering I am just exercising consumers first amendment right to free speech in effort to warn potential customers so they are not ripped off how I was. Furthermore Ripoff Report will not remove a report even if I wanted them too is my understanding and for good reason. I told MAAS that it's not necessary to remove this report as it is consistent with the truth. In my previous post I explained that I contacted Apple and made an inquiry of whether or not my iPad was stolen. Apple told me that they were governed not to discuss that particular information with anyone except for a Law Enforcement Officer and would only contact the Police if they thought it was necessary. So anyways MAAS called the Police on me and said that I was in possession of a stolen iPad Air 2. The Police came to my residence. I showed the Officer my eBay receipt and other supporting documentation. The Officer said he still wanted to take the iPad and my paper work with him to assist with an investigation because of an allegation made by MAAS suggesting the iPad was stolen. I told the Officer that I would be interested in getting the iPad back if it's not found to be stolen. A few days later I received a call from the Officer and was told that after an investigation it could not be found that the iPad was in fact stolen and that I had seven days to pickup the iPad. So I am back to where I started with an iCould locked iPad. Online it's a well known scam that fraudsters will charge a fee and say they can unlock iCloud on Apple products and later tell you your Apple product is stolen and quickly ending their relationship ripping people off. MAAS goes a step beyond that. After they charge $75.00 plus tax saying that they can unlock iCloud they will later tell you that your Apple product is stolen and that you have to give them your device or they will call the Police. Then MAAS sells your Apple product in their store. Matthew

Only Apple can unlock iCloud with Apple receipt and it's free

An update about my MAAS complaint: I purchased my Apple iCloud locked iPad on eBay and I have the original receipt from eBay. Today I took my iPad to Apple hoping that they could unlock iCloud on my iPad. I made an enquire about who can unlock iCloud. They told me no one can unlock Apple iCloud, just Apple as long as you have the original Apple receipt and it's a free service. Apple told me if if anyone charged me anything to unlock iCloud on my iPad than it's obvious that they ripped you off. I also asked Apple if they could confirm if this is in fact stolen. Apple said we are governed not to discuss that particular information with anyone per their policy and only would discuss such information with a Law Enforcement Officer if they believed it was necessary.

iCloud being locked; they told me this is simply an anti theft measure on this iPad. That my iPad is pretty much just useless now, just for parts, just the way it is. Remember Mahammed said he contacted the owner and also contacted the Police about my iPad allegedly being stolen which inhibited him from being able to unlock it. That is confidential information only Apple would share with Police. So in conclusion this sums everything up. I am done wasting my time thinking about this. I just learnt a lesson; be carful who you trust and where you shop. MAAS ripped me off and this is all proof that MAAS ripped me off consistent with what they wrote and did to me this shows they are not honest and simply just bad people to do business with.

MAAS is still trying to rip me off.

This is so far from the truth. Muhammad Ali is your regular crook. His whole report is a fabricated lie. My phone is always on. They are the ones that were dodging my calls. I have no reason to ever talk to them again now. This place is a scam. I called Apple myself and they told me that my iPad was locked to a user and that's the only information they had about it. MAAS just told me to come in. That they could unlock iCloud for $75.00 and that they would refund me if they couldn't. That is all that was discussed. This place cannot be trusted and they cover lies with lies. They stole my $75.00 and that's a fact. Now their telling me to bring my iPad in and if they have it they believe they can still unlock it . I thought they said it was stolen. They already stole my $75.00. Now they want to steal my iPad. This place is a joke. I already called the Police and the Police said it's buyers beware and they couldn't help me. This company ripped me off and I wrote about my experience to warn people. It's their loss. I will never go there again and I will continue to tell everyone to stay far away from that store. If they want a bad name over $75.00 then they can have it.I am a very ethical person that would never lie about this sort of thing. I have no reason to lie. I did a lot of research about this company and they pretty much survive by ripping people off.
