Macanthony Realty International ,Mri 4 years on and still waitng for offplan apart. Heardnothing from their lawyers for 6mths Marbella Other

We bought an off-plan proprty from mri 4 years ago. We remortgaged our house here to pay the deposit of 30% on e172,000 (interest only). Developers forecasted completion date as April 2007, with 2-3 years rental by which time we would have retired and hopefully have a place in the sun. The apartment was finally completed last year which was when we stopped hearing from Capital Financial Parteners and mri aftersales sevices. CFP could not get us a morgage over there, although in the beginning it was assured that we'd have no problem. I spent 3 years photocopying and sending 3 monthly bank statements and payslips all for nothing. I contacted the lawyers of mri who are handling the purchase and told them due to the recession that it was not likely that we were going to get a morgage and looked like we were going to have to cancel and try to get our money back. They said they would have the documents drawn up for us to sign. This was back in February and I haven't heard anything since. Is anyone handling this case as there seems to be many more of us in the same position. Needless to say I'm still working as we have a 40000 remorgage to pay off and nothing to show for it.
