I have been informed that MRI are telling people who have paid 30% deposits for the Renaissance development in Bulgaria and the Vila Verde development, in Cape Verde, that the developers of these developments have gone into liquidation.
I have been told that this is totally untrue. A legal firm in Bulgaria stated that the developer there has not gone into liquidation and the developer of the development in Cape Verde, himself, said that he has definitely not gone into liquidation.
MRI have apparently kindly offered buyers of these two developments apartments at one of MRI's own developments 'as a gesture of goodwill'. It has been pointed out that if anyone did this, they would be breaking their contract with their original developer and could be sued.
This could leave people in a very bad situation financially.
Presumably, MRI don't care about this as long as they get their money whatever way they can.
