The apartments in Chatham NJ owned by Madison Hill Properties are sold to perspective tenants as "luxury". However, they are not able to provide tenants with basic utillities promised in the least. I have been living here for 7 months and we have been without hot water on multiple occassions sometimes over a week at a time. In addition, there was a whole week with out heat and even after the heat was "fixed" the apartment temperature drops to below 60 degrees on cold days. In addition there is insufficiant parking for tenants and many tenants park on the grass or in fire zones. The managment companies big soulution to this was to give parking stickers but since there are more tenants than parking spots and people do on occassion have guest (shocking I know) their solution did not help. As stated is other reviews there are whole garages filled with garbage and a manitiance line that is most likely a call center in another state. We are counting down the days until our lease is up. We blame both the managment company, the property manager, and the real estate company who sold the companies lies to us.

This is the worst place to live and expensive. In winter head don't work and maintenance people are arrogant and they just don't want to fix your problems or they provide glue type of solutions. Parking is another disaster

Thank you very much for your feedback and we are truly sorry that you have had such an experience and feel the way that you do about our apartments in Chatham, NJ. It is our absolute and foremost priority at Madison Hill Properties to provide you and every other tenant of ours with a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable place to live. Unfortunately, in our line of business we are often faced with urgent and unexpected issues that sometimes cannot be immediately resolved. We always make every effort to resolve ASAP any issue that a tenat may have, and certainly such large issues as a broken boiler or hot water heater that affects the basic needs of many tenants at one time. We do not take that responsibility lightly and literally work 24 hours/day in those situations to resolve as quickly as possible. Unfortunately in the instances that you mentioned that ended up being a few days but it was not due to lack of effort or care, we promise you that. In terms of parking, we are trying to do the best that we can with the number of parking spaces that exist at the property which is why we instituted the sticker system that you referenced. If you are encountering specific issues with the system or can provide us with any advice or feedback we would very much like to hear from you so that we can work together towards improvement.
