Glenda: Hello, how may I help you?
ME: I just read the fine print that you will be charging my card since it is a debit card. I would not have placed a free trial order had I known this before signing up. DO NOT charge my card. I tried the LINK BELOW to change/hold the debit card and it DID NOT WORK. If you cannot hold the charges, CANCEL my order immediately. If you charge my card/fail to confirm my request, I will file a better business report. Please confirm that you've received this email immediately.
ME: I just sent the above via email...
ME: very upset. does ANYONE do what they advertise anymore?
Glenda: I need to check your order first.
Glenda: May I have the sales order number please.

Glenda: May I have the first 4 and the last 4 digit of your credit/debit card used during the purchase, please?

Glenda: May I know the complete name of the account owner please?

Glenda: May I have your billing address please?

ME: for what?
Glenda: That is not the address that we have here
ME: yeah because you asked for BILLING.

ME: i just checked my account... magic jack charged my card. i am FURIOUS
Glenda: I will cancel it.
ME: it will take 24 hours before it gets put back into my account, NO?
ME: that is money i needed.
Glenda: Thank you for waiting.
Glenda: 04/28/2010 [C]anceled Order Updated from [N]ew Pending to [C]anceled Order
Glenda: Your order has been canceled.
ME: canceled but now what, I'm minus 46.90 in my account until it "appears" whenever that may happen
Glenda: You will receive your refund within 3-5 business days.
ME: NO! That is absolutely ridiculous
ME: I'M FILING A REPORT IMMEDIATELY
ME: YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME
ME: TELL THEM TO PUT IT BACK INTO MY ACCOUNT NOW!
ME: i did not agree to that
ME: if i end up with bounced check fees, who's gonna pay for it? not me! magic jack!
ME: put me on hold do whatever you have to do, until you find out from one of your superiors that you will be putting it back into my account just as fast as you took it out!!!
Glenda: I understand, but it will take a legal process, we will process it to return to your bank and your bank will process to return it to your account.
ME: you don't need to process anything except processing that I am right here and magic jack is wrong. I signed up for a today 4/28/10 for a FREE TRIAL offer, to be billed on 5/28/10, IF I liked the product. THAT is what you advertised.
Glenda: Yes, but that is for the credit card.
Glenda: If you use debit card you will be billed right away.
ME: where was I supposed to find that? you don't honestly believe that that information was easy to see do you? if it was, I WOULD NOT HAVE PLACED THE ORDER.
ME: hello?
ME: Do I need to add Rip Off Report blogs to this as well?
ME: I'm very serious. Magic Jack left me with NOTHING in my account.
ME: FALSE ADVERTISING'
ME: 3-5 DAYS?
ME: u wanna live on nothing for 3-5 days???
Glenda: Unfortunately that is how debit cards work. We do not charge the amount, only authorize it. The bank goes in and takes the full amount and puts it on hold. If you for some reason are not satisfied with the magicjack, the amount will be returned to your account.
ME: what do you mean not satisfied with the magic jack? I DONT HAVE the magic jack.
Glenda: And besides I already canceled your order.
ME: honor your advertising. return the money to my account immediately
ME: Glenda, tell a superior to get some help here so that you can return my money immediately
Glenda: Don't worry, we will return your money.
ME: immediately
Glenda: And we cannot process it right away, only your bank can do that.
ME: you told me you took time to process it "legally"
ME: cryptic answer
Glenda: You can inquiry it on your bank, within 3-5 business days.
Glenda: You will receive the full amount of your order.
ME: you better hope that you never have a bad week monetarily and have to be in a panic situation and have someone like you helping.
ME: im filing a better business report... i'm telling all of my friends. i'm going to blog about it. it would have been much nicer if magic jack would have put up a helpful warning that the free trial offer doesn't apply to debit card users, which is a HUGE portion of the population.
ME: and busienss never do well when treating customers like that, in the long run.
ME: i have to go now.
ME: your answer is "no" , right?
Glenda: I understand, that is the only thing I can do.
Glenda: I can only cancel the order, which I already did.
ME: okay, thank you. I have to get back to work.
Glenda: Since it was already canceled you will be refuned with your order, but it takes timme.
Glenda: You're welcome.
ME: it shouldn't take time. it is just WRONG. bad business. bad karma.
