I received a call in February saying that I was approved for a credit card with a $5,000 limit, and all I had to do was pay them $299 so that I would not have any monthly or annual fees. It was pulled out of my account on March 1st.

My husband and I decided about a week later that we didn't need one, so I called to cancel it and they told me that they would not cancel it after the money had been pulled from my account. The guy who called me never said that it couldn't be cancelled. So my husband and I decided that we were just stuck with this credit card and we would just have to get over it.

When we finally recieved it in the mail it was not a credit card with a $5,000 dollar limit, it was a stored value card, meaning that we would have to put more money into it to be able to use it. Needless to say, neither of us were and we still aren't happy about this.

We sent them their card back and a letter registered mail with a return reciept so that we knew when they had recieved it. We mailed it April 4th and they recieved it April 10th and we gave them until May 4th to return our money to us. It is now May 10th and we still have not heard from them about getting our money back.

just called going to file lawsuit now...

well i just called them, 5-25-05, at 9:15 am. the lady told me that the number i call is a independent customer service line and all they can do is leave a message for them to call me and if they haven't called me then i am not getting my refund. she told me that she will leave them another message. i told her when she did to tell them that i will be calling the georgia and new york state attorney's office, the b.b.b., and that i will be filing a lawsuit against them.

i really hate how these people prey on the unsuspecting. i have a family to support and this has thrown off our bills unbelievably. i can't even buy our 6 month old baby food because of these people. right after they withdrew the money my husband lost his job and we were counting on getting the right card so that we could charge a few bills to it and then pay it off, also neither of us have credit and we were hoping to use it to build up our credit. they have screwed up our lives with this, and now they are going to pay out the butt for what they have done.

still haven't heard a thing

I have been calling and talking to this company for the past several weeks and everytime they tell me some one will call back. and of course no one has. they have even admitted to me that they did recieve everything back in the package including the letter that stated what i would do if i did not get my money back and they still haven't done anything.

when i called last friday and talked to this lady and told her that i was going to go to the attorney general's office for new york and georgia all she said is "i will inform them of your decision" and she hung up. I am calling again today and if i still don't get anything they had better be ready for a major lawsuit and to shell out a lot more money than if they had just given me my refund.

If you recieve a call from Ryan Hanes with Majestic Benefits just hang up the phone. He is the one who called me. I am a new first time mom and the money that this company stole from me is needed very badly. My husbnd lost his job and now we are really scrapped for money.
