I should have done some research before submitting my case with this company.

They gave my false hope in my case just to get the money. I did signed the Attorney-Client Agreement, gave them my credit card, they bill me $5,000 - the retainer fee as they call it. The only thing they did, they sent me a questionnaire, call me twice to ask for other documents, got few e-mails from them and later they sent me a affidavit to complete. I withdrew from the case for personal reasons, before the case was submitted to USCIS. $5,000 for an incomplete affidavit? I asked for refund, was hopping, that I will get some money back from the $5,000. Had to call many times, until they got back to me, telling me, that I owe them an other $478. I asked for the invoice. They sent it to me after soliciting with phone calls and e-mails. The invoice even doesn't summarize the $5,000. There is Previous balance $1796 (who knows for what) 350 x 1.50 Hours for revise and review 2 times, called for case status update $350 x 0.25 hours??? Amount Due 478.33.

If I don't pay this amount, legal action against me will be taken. I guess I will have to get myself a lawyer, because I am not going to pay this company an other cent.

Report him to NY BAR

AUTHOR: KA - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Do not pay him a penny.  You should ask for a line-by-line analysis of EVERY charge on your file.  If anything, he should pay you some money back from the 5k retainer, but as many people have reported, once you sign the retainer, you are telling him - here is my credit card number, go to town with it!

He HAS to send you all the charges.  Dont worry, he cant call collection agency for this frivolous charge.  Dont hire an attorney, just report him to the NY BAR anyway - whether he returns your money from 5k or not - something I should have done but was too tired at the end of my long ordeal.

He will threaten you that he will put you behind bar, or he will use his contacts in FBI to stalk you or he will deport you (if you are not a US Citizen yet).  Do not let him scare you.  He is a pu**y who feeds on the vulnerabilities of people in distress.

Never hire an attorney without referral.  Mr Rahul Manchanda is a prime example for that rule of thumb.
