Absolutely sickening. Cars bought and sold by unscrupulous dealers, many former dealers have since had their licenses pulled by the state after passing these unsafe wrecks around. Airbags are removed and cavities stuffed with dummy units, engines and transmissions are swapped out by the mechanics shops for ragged out high mile replacements sourced from Copart wrecks. Body shop fills rust using wadded up newspaper and Bondo, does no sanding or prep and then shoots paint over the dirt and the grease, with a quality of work that would Earl Scheib look like a concours de elegance winning job. Gauge clusters are replaced with lower mileage units, the modern digital equal of old school odometer rollback. Work is performed under contract by unskilled temps, thus shielding the company from some of the reparations. Cars and trucks from the Canadian Super Sellers are the most troubling. Many of these are accident write-offs and rebuilds sold as virgin stock.

They come in via a customs broker in Dearborn, MI. Titles are washed, odometers are rolled back. Lesser Canadian models are rebadged as more valuable USA spec trim level vehicles. Clear Michigan titles are scammed. Many of these are missing airbags and even bumper supports. You could be riding around in what you thought was a clean, local trade when it is in fact a title washed former wreck with double the miles. Then you have employees like Jennifer Goodlow, who make a side hustle, and a darn profitable one at that, selling auction access where for a fee unscrupulous dealers will bring in the general public for under the table sales directly taking a proverbial dump on Michigan License Law. These dealers are generally the buy here, pay here type of foreigners who are out to scam a buck. Security has already threatened me. Do I care? Hell no. Shall we keep dropping names or mention how you plant evidence on honest people who call you out as ground for termination? I can go at this all day.
