My wife and I and a couple we traveled with were invited to attend a presentation at the Marina Mazatlan also known as the Marina Grand by a Pulmonea driver named Miguel.  Miguel offered us $500 US Dollars per couple, 4 tickets to the Aquarium in Mazatlan and a bottle of Kaluia and Tequila for each couple.  On 10/23/2014 Miguel picked us up at the Mayan Palace we stayed at and took us to the Marina Mazatlan.

Upon arrival to the Marina Mazatlan we were seated at a table and a young lady looked at our driver's licenses and credit cards.  She also wrote down the gifts we were promised and had me sign the form the gifts were written on.  She did not give me a copy and I should have asked for a copy.  After listening to the 90 minute presentation we respectfully declined to "buy in" to the program offered to us.

We were asked to wait in the lobby and then relocated to an outside lobby.  A man who said his name was Alfredo Luzanaya advised he was in charge of giving us the gifts pressured us to walk outside the front gate which was locked behind us.  Alfredo then informed us he did not have our gifts and he would bring them to us at the Mayan Palace by 2 p.m. that afternoon.  When we asked about our $400 peso deposit we had paid he did produce the $400 in pesos and gave us our deposit back.  We waited until 2 p.m. and Alfredo never showed up with our incentive gifts.  I had the Mayan Place call the phone number "Alfredo" gave us and it was a bogus number.

Then after doing some research on the internet found out this is one of the three companies under investigation for Scamming People out of their money.  We lost a morning of vacation but that is most likely a small loss compared to other people who bought into their program and have been ripped off for thousands of dollars.

If you do a little research your self you can find other warnings from people who have been scammed by this company.

WRONG PHOTO UPLOADED

AUTHOR: Michael - ()

POSTED: Friday, October 24, 2014

Somehow the photo of the couple sleeping was uploaded incorrectly as the photo of Miguel.  I could not find a way to remove the photo so this seems to be the only way to correct the mistake.  Mike from Chico CA.
