I had a misdeamor case with Atty Mack. A case that I was actually innocent. I set an appointment and was greeted by him through a webcam meeting. The whole meeting took about 12 mins. I spoke for about 2 mins and never even told him my side of the story. He certainly didn't do much listening and ended up telling me that he would make my case, and I quote, "go away". I asked him several times directly, what does "go away" mean exactly? His only response was to continue telling me it will "go away." I fell for it and paid him the amount he required. At my first hearing, some other lawyer he hired to appear for him and on my behalf was 25 mins late. I was expecting Mack. He essentially knew nothing about my case other than what he read in my file on his way over to he hearing. He was a former Doctor that had lost his license from giving away presecriptions to "poor people". After losing his medical license he obtained his law degree and represented Mack whenever Mack called him. He was of little help to me. A nice guy, but not any help. Needless to say, my case did not "go away". I asked for a continuance so I could regroup.

I made another appointment with Mack and this time is was actually face to face. When I met with Mack again he did all the talking. When he finished he asked for another $1000. I questioned him and reminded me that he told me directly several times that he would make this case "go away". I told him the case did not go away and now he wanted another $1000? He then lowered his price to $750. Again I questioned him and reminded him what he had told me. He got very agitated and told me "this meeting is over", asked me to leave and walked out of the conference room. I subsequently left and hired a much better and honest attorney. Attorney Webby. At this point I was not in a position of leverage and my chance to get my case dismissed was gone. I had two choices, plea or go to trial. So I chose to plead guilty in a plea deal. Had I gone to trial, the DA had the option of recharging me with a felony. Obviously I wasnt taking that chance.

Be very careful when dealing with Mack. Mack definitely DOES NOT have your back as his motto states. There's a reason why you have to be buzzed in the front door to this guys office. The security there is unreal. Sitting in the lobby of his office I counted about 7-8 video security cameras. I've neever been in a law office and seen even 1 camera before. This guy must have some pissed off clients. Just beware if he promises you anything. No lawyer can promise anything. No lawyer can promise to make your case "go away". And definitely make sure the lawyer you hire is the actual lawyer that shows up at court to represent you. Not some part time lawyer that fills in when Mack over books himself. No doubt Mack has several lawyers he hires after taking your case. These are not lawyers that are a part of his firm. They are subcontractors. If you decide to hire Mack and you go to his office and have to be buzzed in the front door, remember what I said here and know it's true.
