Marketplace Homes is a rip off!!!!! They make promises and Never keep them.  The copy is very organized and very unprofessional.  I moved into one of their homes in May of 2011.  I filled out all of my paperwork and paid all the money that I needed to pay in March of 2011.  When it came time for me and my family to move into the property, I was informed by the homeowners that I would not receive any keys until they receive the paperwork and money from Marketplace.  I was beyond shocked because I had things scheduled to be delivered as well as other things that were being set up.  Furthermore, I took care of all of papwerwork and money issues well enough in advance.  After several phone calls from myself and the homeowners, the issue was resolved.

One week after moving into the property there was a water leak in the kitchen sink.  I called Marketplace Maintenance Department (as instructed on my current lease) and no one evere came out to resolve the issue, we took care of the issue ourselves.

Two weeks after that issue, the basement of the property completely flooded.  We contacted Karen Lewis in the maintenance department to try to get it resolved.  Karen promised that she was working on getting someone out to extract the water from our basement.  She promised that she would call that night or early that morning before I went to work.  Needless to say I never received a call or a maintenance man.  I had to pay $125 out of my pocket to get the water out of my basement.  Eventually (1 month later) I was reimbursed for the extraction.

One week after the flood incident, the central air was not working.  Called maintenance again and they called the homeowner.  The homeowner came to the home and tried to resolve the issue himself.  After several attempts he realized he could not do it. so he called his personal handyman to complete the job.  The handyman came 2 days later and fixed it.  Approximately 2 months later, I receive a letter from the Property Manager, Karen Lewis, indicating that I owe the company $84.80 for having the air conditioner serviced.  I immediately contacted Karen Lewis to dispute this charge, she never answered.  So I called her assistant Mia.  Mia stated that she was working on it and give her an hour and she would contact me.  I never received that promised call, so I called her again the next day.  I received the same answer as I did the day before.  So I waited again, still no returned call.  This went on for 2 weeks.  After getting absolutely No Where with Mia, I decided to call Mia and Karen's boss, Laura Weiss to see if she could get this issue resolved.  Laura was very short and did not want to hear why I was calling in the first place, she indicated that she would give this message to Karen and have her call me back.  At that time I tried explaining to Ms. Weiss that I have I have tried on NUMEROUS ocassions to cintact Karen to no avail.

The next morning I receive a call (Finally) from Karen Lewis, who was very short and snotty.  I proceeded to tell her the issue I was having and she kept talking over me and would not allow me to get a word in.  So I started talking over her to get my point across to her as well.  At this time, Karen Lewis then tells ms to "Shut the Hell Up!!!!" I was totally taken aback by this comment.  She was very rude and unprofessional.  It's amazing to me that she was wrong in the first place and once she was called out on it, she became very upset and disrespectful!!!!!!

PLEASE!!!! Don't do Business with this Company.  The employees are incompetent, unprofessional and very unbusinesslike.  All they want is money, without service.  They promise that they will do one thing and they do something totally opposite.  I am a professional myself and my job is VERY stressful, but never will I ever tell ANY of my clients to shut the hell up!!!! 

SCAMMERS!!!!!
