Purchased Marshall reman engine in Feb this year. Installed by ASE Certified mechanic. Ran 118 miles then began knocking and lost oil pressure. Tons of metal in oil and filter. Marshall sent out replacement. Same shop installed 2nd engine. Ran 238 miles, began knocking and lost oil pressure again. As before oil looked like metal flake paint there was so much metal in the oil. Marshall said 1- 6 weeks for third replacement engine. 2 weeks pass. Contacted Marshall about third engine. Was told it was shipping out. 1 week later, contacted Marshall again. No engine was shipped. Marshall inspected engine when it was returned only to deny warranty claim citing there wasn't anything wrong with it. Both sounded as if they were going to drop they crank onto the ground. Investigating tech also said there was no metal present in oil passages or galleries. Marshall engines are scrap. Their customer service is nonexistent and they are out to deny any claim that they know should be warrantied. 3rd engine was put in vehicle (non Marshall) by same tech and no issues. Over 1000 miles on it now.

Mechanic is still waiting to be paid for Warranty Work

New engine is running fine (Non-Marshall) Marshall denied all claims for warranty, of course. I had read all the horror stories online about this Marshall Engines. This was no surprise. I read the denied claim, and it was all lies. The man inspecting the engine denied metal in the oil. Also said there was no "knock" as stated. The claim was denied due to these supposed investigations. The oil in this Marshall engine had soo much metal in it you could mistake it for metal flake paint. I hope that people take heed of these words, my mechanic has yet to be paid for his warranty install.
