Match.com Deceptive Practices and Rip Off Merrick New York

I filed a complaint with the Dallas, TX BBB. This is the reply I received from them:

We have received your letter dated June 29, 2006 related to a complaint filed by (). We appreciate the opportunity to address Ms. ()concerns.

Ms. () response to our offer letter will be processed in the order in which it was received. Currently, there is a significant backlog of responses to process. Depending on when she sent her response, it could be up to two to three weeks before her response is processed. At that time she will be notified that we have activated her complimentary three month subscription.

I believe this letter satisfies the issue brought forth. Please let me know if I can assist with this matter further.

They do not have any intention of honoring the "Free Offer". If they did, they would not send out the letters without a procedure in place of activate the "Free Three-Month Subscription" at the time the letter recipients replied. I will, however, keep you posted.
